Levi took notice of how people slowly moved away. Interesting. He was certain it was not him who scared people away, despite his sharp look. If anything, his presence normally prompted others to make fun of him, of his height, without knowing who, or rather, what, the man was.

Listening intently to Silco's words, he nodded in acknowledgement. For simplicity's sake, huh? It seemed that Levi had met someone who had quite the story. Plus, with the reactions, and the looks given to the two, he began to wonder who this man was, and what he had done. However, Levi was not the type to fear others. It would take a lot for him to be impressed. He almost had seen it all by now, with where he had lived. With a mother for a whore, and an uncle who was a serial killer, he could not say he was surprised by people's ugliness. Silco wouldn't be so different. But, he had yet to learn what his sins were. And, to what he was a slave to.

After all, everyone was a slave to something.

Levi took a sip of his tea, and let out a sigh. “Let's say, for simplicity's sake, that I know my way around with gangs, fighting. I've been hired here and there as a bodyguard.” With an unreadable expression, his eyes narrowed a little. “The underground is a rather dangerous place, and some people like to pay money to feel some form of security.” His head tilted to the side as his argent eyes began to gleam. “Do you need some sort of security, or do others need security of you…?”

He was no fool. He could connect the dots together. The eye, the reaction of others, his answer. Sure, he was unaware of the crimes this man had committed, but every fool in Zaun knew of the one name that had risen from the ashes:

There was something oddly entertaining about Levi chatting with him as though he was just any other random person. Despite the crowd around them there was starting to be a subtle little separation as the sound of Silco’s voice drew people’s attention to him and Levi just long enough for them to decide to take a step away. With the small group all waiting for food there might not have been enough space nor reason even for people to give Silco a large berth, but there was enough respect or fear perhaps to offer him a bit of a comfortable bubble. There was also a few looks of mild surprise as people saw Silco take the other mans hand accepting the handshake.

The truth of the matter was that Silco had a rather simple attitude. He did what he wanted. More often than not what he wanted was rather closely related to how people treated him. When they lied, and were rude, and demanded things he treated them appropriately. However he didn’t have that particular sense of ego that required he lord it over someone for no good reason particularly when they likely wouldn’t understand why not knowing what he was. The fact that it would surprise, or even confuse some of the people around them was of course a bonus.

“Interesting. My story is a bit long. For simplicity's sake let’s say yes. I’m from The Lane’s. I’ve certainly been here long enough now even if there was a period of time I was in darker areas here in Zaun.” Eyes narrowing just a touch in interest he took another sip of his coffee. “You must be rather skilled at something to make your way from the deeper areas to The Lanes. Unless you simply decided to take a chance and hope for the best?”

Watching how Silco somewhat reluctantly agreed upon the coffee. However, when he saw the glint of surprise in his eyes upon seeing he had ordered him an all black, the faintest movement was seen from Levi's eyebrow as it perked up and down. Ah, so he made the right assessment on the older and taller gentleman.

Taking a sip from his own beverage, a hot steaming cup of tea, he let out a sigh of relief. Tea. Something that could almost always calm his senses down, and bring him back to the here and now.

When Silco inquired about him, he hummed lowly. “The name's Levi.” He said, extending his hand to give the other a firm handshake. “I originate from the deeper areas of the Underground, so to speak.” With a pause, he took another sip of the delicacy, his other hand slipping into the pocket of his coat whilst taking a rather relaxed stance. “So yeah, technically I am. I moved to The Lanes not so long ago.” He shrugged. “How about you, Silco? What's your story? Are you from the Lanes?” Silver hues shot sharply up to the mismatched pair of hues, not intentionally though. Despite his chit-chat, he was always wary of strangers.

In the habit of keeping an eye on everything around him even while getting food Silco spotted the shorter man who seemed to be heading right towards him. He considered simply stepping backwards, and then leaving. Even if this vendor had decent food Silco had no real urge to have to deal with another question so blunt as to be rude and crass. However as he spotted the beverage containers Silco changed his mind, and relaxed now more curious than anything else. When Levi approached Silco wasn’t exactly staring at him, but it was obvious he was aware and as Levi made eye contact he met the other mans eyes in turn.

As the coffee was offered there was a quick short moment in which Silco simply considered. Drinks, cup, the calm sincere seeming expression and tone, what seemed to be a bit of an apology. With how many toxins and strange substances there were in Zaun it was far from unheard of for someone to try a poisoning, and so Silco considered. However it was only a very short, and quick consideration and reaching out he took the coffee with a little nod. “Accepted” Silco could be a touchy man, and one to hold a grudge. However he could understand why his eye might generate a certain response particularly from someone who presumably did not know who he was. Half expecting some cream filled calorie high thing Jinx might drink when he took the lid off Silco found himself pleasantly surprised. Three sugars in, lid back on, a quick little movement to swirl the coffee around and ensure the sugar was mixed in and a sip.

Glancing up to see that there were a few people ahead of him waiting for their food to finish being made, and offered up his attention returned to Levi. “Are you new around here? My name is Silco, and yours?”
