NO, never opt for a course or tickets or whatever the internet’s telling you. they don’t want tickets, they’d rather experience. there are traineeships being offered by big mining companies — try bhp or rio. these are mostly in the west though.

be prepared to work 12 hours a day for 14 days; doing days for the first week and nights for the second. and you’ll be working with a ton of misogynistic assholes.

it’s really good money, but at the cost of missing out on life back home. i’m about to hit my third year of doing this bullshit and i’m exhausted

HAHAHAHA no, i’m definitely not jacked, just toned if that makes sense? i work away from home a lot; as in, in the middle of outback australia with all the dingoes, spiders and snakes and the only thing i can do to kill time is write, go to the gym, run — plus i’m required to be fit because of my back injury. i need the muscles to protect it (that’s what my physiologist keeps telling me)

my technique for running longer distances is keep with my breathing, 2 short breaths in and 1 long breath out. slow your pace down too, it’s not a raceeee. and maybe…a sophia laforteza edit on tiktok

I’m curious to know who inspired all this angst?

everyone i have ever loved has broken my heart in ways i could never understand. i’ve come to terms with the fact that i’m always just going to be a placeholder in every relationship i get into

meaning, i teach beg people how to love and treat me right until their person comes along…then they will learn to love that person the way i’ve always wanted to be loved.

perhaps i’m screaming at the wrong places for love. nonetheless i’m grateful for the terrible experiences, i’m kinder to myself now more than ever :)

i also always use em dashes, oxford commas, and semicolons in my college essays bc same as you, i know my grammar. but sometimes i fear my professors will think i use chatgpt when i don’t. i love transition words too but since i often have misspelled words and use the word “like” a lot in my essays, it’s obvious a human wrote it (i think). i also have to cite a lot from the textbook and various sources which an ai will probably have trouble doing accurately😅 but yeah i also don’t think that the fact that a person knows their grammar directs to them using chatgpt.

ok so i just did a test on chatgpt and told the ai to write a fic and wow… chatgpt does a decent job at writing fics that really does resemble a human. the fic had casual sounding sentences and informal language in the dialogue too like how every day people talk… it’s getting scary out there… chat gpt is scary and i don’t like it all. i used to write fics so i know how much time it takes to write a decent fic and the fact someone can just have an ai write their fic in 1 minute and pass it off as their own sucks. i also have a lot of other thoughts on ai and how it’s ruining the job market but i’ll just keep this ask short :’)

that’s a valid fear, a friend of mine scored over 70% on an ai detector even though he didn’t use bots. luckily, he had the full editing history which saved his ass just by an inch.

it does a decent job at writing because it sources other people’s work….unfortunately, without their consent 99% of the time.

my line of work is projected to be fully automated by 2030, so that’s about 5 years of learning how to be good at what i do down the drain — taken by smart tools. but such is life! i’m sure we will all adapt…hopefully soon.

honestly, i have big thoughts on this and this is the third question i’ve seen…i like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. i’m aware there are plenty of things to look out for like em dashes (—), frequent use of oxford commas & semicolons and triadic sentences.

personally, i don’t treat those as an indicator as it could just be someone who knows grammar well. i have used all of these since the dawn of time and can’t imagine not having them in my writing at all. it’s also important to remember that these bots were/are trained most often by humans under millions of internet sources; of what we’ve put out there.

in saying that, chatgpt is meant to be used as a tool; it’s not your fucking therapist, it’s not your personal author to write shit out for you and definitely not a friend. stop telling it shit about your life!!!

i hope you can all hear me heaving out a sigh when i say this…but think for yourself for once. go touch grass, read a book and journal your thoughts. for us little people, it’s going to erase a lot of our professions — it’s a nail in the coffin for most creative and some labour fields (including mine), so don’t let it steal your imagination too…how have we become this reliant?

SANA END GAME PERIODDDD!!!! In all seriousness though, Karina dug the pit too deep and realized just a little too late that she wouldn’t be able to get out of it. I’ve honestly read too many fics where Y/N just goes back and I’m left screaming at the screen for her to get her ass up so this was really refreshing / just felt real. I don’t even know if this is making sense XD I’m writing this at 3 in the morning jet lagged up the wazoo trying not to kick my feet cause my gf is next to me lol

initially, it was going to be a karina endgame. it’s a karina fic, after all, but the more i wrote her in-depth, the less i loved the idea of ending up with her.

and god, sana was written so beautifully. pretty proud of myself for that one, i actually based her on someone i know :)

Hi, English is not my first language so if something doesn't make sense, that's why haha. God, I'm obsessed with Karina's whole story!!! You really make me feel immersed in it, and I can feel everything y/n feels. I totally understand why it was so hard to let Karina go. At first, she made y/n feel seen and heard, and she's so sweet that she ended up making me fall for her too haha. But I also hate that she kept choosing Jaewook, HE’S AN IDIOT AND SHE STILL KEPT CHOOSING HIM AND SHE EVEN HAS THE NERVE TO SAY HE LOVES Y/N? Even so, I still kind of wanted her to end up with Karina… until Sana came in haha. I have a soft spot for Sana, and her role in this story just made me love her even more. The way she loves y/n is so beautiful: always respecting her space, never pressuring her, loving her so deeply that she's willing to stand by her unconditionally, and even let her go if that was her decision. I was mentally preparing myself for y/n to end up with Karina, but when I read that she chose to stay with Sana, I cried tears of joy haha. I wasn’t expecting that ending, but I truly appreciate it and LOVE that she ended up with Sana. I adore that woman so much. Sorry this is so long haha, i just wanted to say you're one of my favorite writers and I really LOVE how you describe all that longing and pain. It’s so tragically beautiful. No matter how much time passes, we’ll be here waiting patiently for your return.

i appreciate your insight a ton. it’s definitely hard to let go of someone who is constantly hurting us. guess we get addicted to the chase, the pushing and the pulling and all that jazz that comes with unrequited (sometimes returned) love. we don’t really see the worst of it until someone else comes along and pulls us out of the cycle, screaming “here i am and i can give you all of me instead of the half you’re getting now”.

don’t want to glorify rebounds but the idea of sana being so aware that she could be…and still be unconditionally in love with y/n just somehow sits right with me. idk, maybe i’m just rambling, but this is definitely my favourite version of sana i have written so far :)
