it’s funny bc the staticmoth artist that was originally bitching about the radiostatic redraw, all they ever do is complain about radiostatic and its shippers, even going as far to say that they were going to draw vox and alastor as brothers just to spite the shippers. so many staticmoth shippers on twitter are insufferable bullies and they wonder why their ship is “overshadowed” by radiostatic. perhaps if they spent more time talking about their own ship instead of tearing down another, their ship would be more interesting and have more content. they’re all playing victim now too, as they do, with their weird persecution complex as if the entire hazbin crew doesn’t support their ship. theyre saying that “this wasn’t about radiostatic” and playing stupid as if the first redraw wasn’t a radiostatic one, and saying that radiostatic shippers are mad bc their ship isn’t canon, when that was never the case. they’re mad about a REDRAW when what they have is literally canon and nothing that fan artists draw or do will ever affect that.

Personally I find it weird ppl want so badly to sympathize with Stella. Like she’s an abusive classist brat and I think she’s perfectly accurate to someone of her station. I don’t mind learning more about her- but like- she’s not someone I’m DYING to sympathize with you know?

It’s because Stella fans aren’t actually Stella fans imo. Also, Stella would never have this many fake sympathizers if she was a man. As a lesbian whenever I see people clutch their pearls over “straight women fetishizing gay men!” I get so irrationally angry. I’ve had men in person try to assault me so they could “change my mind” about me being gay. I am now seeing people accusing Stolas of being Viv's self-insert because they say they're both toxic abusers. This is just like fans of The Owl House saying Amity Blight is Dana Terrace's self-insert because she dyed her hair green that one time (I mean, the actual self-insert is that funny big nose thing, she's right there!) or RWBY fans saying Jaune Arc is Miles Luna's self-insert because he's the main male character despite the fact that they're the ones who make him into their self-insert. We have reached a new level of media illiteracy here.

Don’t forget the time SPOP antis tried to claim that Catra was ND Stevenson’s wife’s abusive self-insert because Stevenson gave Catra a haircut similar to her. This is what happens when people think that creators are only capable of making fiction that pulls directly from their own experiences instead of, you know, using the power of imagination to make shit up. Wishing Stella wasn't written as a villain and acting like Stella's canon actions aren't abusive are two very different things... but Stella apologists sure love demolishing the line seperating them.

Stolas is a gay man stuck in an a loveless marriage with woman who verbally abused him daily and his only 2 Lights of his life is his daughter and his Pan Lover.
