Yes I am a big-ish name in the (Tumblr) radqueer community (under another name)
Yes I largely hate / have problems with the (Tumblr) radqueer community
No I don't think all of it is the communities fault
A lot of it seems to be a chronically online attitude many online communities have been affected by, where they fester in whatever bad thing and do nothing to make either themselves or others better (many other things)
#i exist on other platforms too#so i know shit but like#its almost exclusively on tumblr people have the worst takes#even the “consistent progressives” or whatever theyre called are calmer on other platforms#mizuki talks

Radqueers still hate fascists and still speak openly against them
It's the problem that seems to happen with all communities that get too big (and what has seemingly happened to a lot of movements/internet groups), which is hateful actors come in and make things so much worse out of nowhere
A chronic online -ness has also covered over a lot of communities which has exasperated the problem, to explain it at all
i miss late 2022 to early 2024 radqueer community when radqueers disliked fascists and most disliked pro-cs and transhateful beings were criticized or at least shamed into being quieter about it. i was an anti in 2023 to early 2024 but if i knew what the radqueer community would end up being i wouldn't have disliked them nearly as much as i did
I wasn't around for that time period, but I hope the radqueer community can eventually go back to being something like that. Those would be steps in the right direction.

I think there's a lot of strong evidence to say the radqueer community made a positive push on larger mogai communities, regardless of how you see the community itself
You can have your critiques about the community
But identities like desirdae, dissomei, and "good" transID's were not made or accepted until we came along, nichelinks Included
More acceptance of para's didn't start until our community was the main safe haven
More things got accepted and talked about because the radqueer community (whether you like them or not) was the only place it seemed okay to be those things, and made others realize that those close to them also had those kinds of identities
This isn't a shame or some sorta "gotcha"
But I do want to see more acceptance and communication about identities you might not understand or even like

I think I'm more willing to talk about my thoughts on transids since I'm calmer and not so easy to set off. Ya also do genuinely seem to be more good faith than I thought. (Defensive person/alters)
I am very understanding of the term itself. I even identify as transage. I had responded to someone who asked about why radqueers ID with transids, and went into detail about our transage identity. This includes understanding trace and transabled dysphoria. (Can't link because I'm using anon to not link main to discourse acct - or, too much.)
My problems lie in a few of the microterms' usage, and folk being bigoted with it, which I feel is a common sentiment in anti rqs as a whole if they're anti or transid neu/crit.
Transableds tend to rely on some stereotypes. This is also a form of disorder faking, which has been heavily promoted in radqueer spaces, we've noticed. This does extend to transethnicity and trace folk. I still see these terms as valid on their own, but the management of is questionable at best and very ableist or racist at worst.
Trand(harmed/harmful) terms can promote harm. Matter of fact, there are transabuser folk who do look to maliciously abuse people without their victims being risk-aware, which should be important when it comes to conabuse (If you're getting into a dynamic, which I prefer calling conabuse relationships, it should, in some form, benefit both parties; as all dynamics, sexual or not, should in general if it's consensual). Also have some posts I made on this, and have one more I want to get through making.
Transbigoted terms... I can't understand those. I know people say it's because of folk wanting power, or it's OCD, however I feel these terms are, in fact, poorly managed to a strong severity. I would feel an alternative, pro-transid term would be better here, like psuedoID terms. This can also work for some transharmful terms (transcultleader, transprogrammer, etc.,). This comes from someone who was genuinely seconds from IDing as transarsonist on pure impulse or whim, to be fair, due to thoughts and pyromaniac urges spiking.
Aside these caveats, I feel we're rather accepting on the term. It's just the usage and community that's our concern. The three of us (alters) have already explained how we became more accepting of transid, as well, of course.
The reason we suggested a poll on why folk are anti radqueer is because of the fact that we're pro para and (maybe pro-leaning, thinking about it) transid critical, but so strongly anti-c that we don't, at all, agree with the ideology of radqueers on accepting anyone and everyone, even if they're pro-c, nonetheless hate the creator, who also made xenosatanism, as I'm sure you know.
Hope this kinda helps with some insight on us and our reblog better. /g

That poll is in the plans! I was just very tired when I made this one so things like "if you have an answer not here, please tell me about it!" And misspelling one of the answers happened
I'm very aware it can make things much more different when things have added on things, but I still wanted a general view of how anti's see them as of now, and I think something is still gained from this first poll considering there's enough people who said "no, never"
But I do appreciate what you've said, thank you!
Very important to note that this does not include what the person may do with this identity or why they identify that way, I am asking if you are okay with the identities itself
#mizuki replies#many polls are in the plans#but i wanted to see just this bit#just to see if it was worth asking more

I deeply apologize and wanted to do that here, I did honestly mean to put down "if you're answer isn't here, please bring it up", but like the mispell on "most of all of the time" where one of those of's was post to be an or, I made this late at night
Though I would like to thank you for a further explanation of your views nonetheless!
A reason why I didn't bring up the "why people identify" is because I have commonly seen very black and white views about the topic and was planning on making another poll for what people do with those identities
For short, that part of the poll is next, and thank you for view!
Very important to note that this does not include what the person may do with this identity or why they identify that way, I am asking if you are okay with the identities itself
#trust me#i thought about adding more when i woke up#but i was so close to passing out when i made this#this and mostly only seeing very specifically SO MANY people being hardline not okay or just fine in anti spaces#didn't know if it'd be worth it in the first poll#mizuki replies

Out of curiosity, why do you say your account isn’t safe for ex-radqueers? I’m not one, just wondering
It's mostly out of the fact that ex radqueer's usually try to stay out of discourse around the community
That and I'm very positive about the radqueer community despite its downfall's, and considering whatever experiences they may have had, I don't want to bring up any unwanted or unpleasant memories
So, it's not a dni because I'm fine if they do interact, it's just kind of a warning for if they do and they have any of the above concerns

I've seen the question more than once "why do all radqueers identify as TransJapanese??"
Some say it's all them being weebs, others might bring up fetishization, most say its both
Unless you're me who's seen all of it for years, and I feel as if I can now explain why!
Please be patient and try to put your bias's aside for a moment so I may explain
This might be long so
Let's say you experienced dysphoria your whole life, but it isn't the one people talk about, it has nothing to do with your gender
It's your race
Your skin is uncomfortable and you hate looking at it, when you look at your face it's even worse, your own hair might make you distressed. You go about your life like it's not that big of a deal, maybe you thought it to be just growing up, maybe it's being social awkwardness who knows
But later on you find a group that experiences that too
And here's where the "problem" of there being so many TransJapanese people
The first group of people you meet are themselves TransJapanese, so you might think you yourself are as well, cause even if the group talks about TransRacial people generally, they are still the majority
There's also why you don't see others, it's because they are targeted a lot more than others, especially back when anti and radqueer debates were at their HIGHEST.
TransPOC and TransBlack people specifically were usually the target, but people didn't care much when CisPOC also got in the cross fire.
Sure, now you can say you understand atypical dysphoria and some TransID's, but back then (which was not too long ago!) anti radqueers didn't have a space for TransRace people, and from what I've seen nowadays, there still isn't a lot for them
So we have our issues
1. TransJapanese people would be the first you'd meet, and consciously or not, people might assume that they are specifically japanese a
2. Other TransRace people would be put down more and more than TransJapanese people, making them more quiet
More trace people exist and are out now, so I've seen many more than that
And it's important to remember that the starters of the Trace part of the community were not TransJapanese, They were TransBlack and EXTREMELY careful about it
thats why you don't hear many stories of TransRace people irl, they wouldn't tell you that because the first assumptions might be in bad faith

(I'm not the anon, I just looked through the anti rq tag)
Considering we both find throwing ableism around like it's nothing is childish and a bad thing
I think when it comes to your claims of something like the TransAbled identity being ableist is rather lacking in evidence.
Most of it seems to be that TransAbled people in your mind don't have a single idea what being actually disabled is like and is appropriating it, problem with that being that majority of TransAbled (and TransID people generally speaking) are bodily disabled
Considering anti radqueer communities are not as open or even helpful for those who may use or see the utility of TransID's, it seems pretty hard that you could just "stop" a community you see as harmful
In the end you say you studied psychology for people who (you say are like yourself) are socially deemed as "unhelpable", could you not see the same in people who may have dysphoria or even what anon said?
The identity itself isn't much of a problem, a good portion of TransAbled people can't or don't want to transition, the others who do specifically seek out cis disabled counterparts to talk with and learn about
I think that's much more helpful than typical able bodied and neurotypical people don't you think?
If we want to get into how to stop younger people from getting into it, you can't just make it seem like they have no where else to go, no social group they can speak with, others who would relate to them in this situation. Because with the worry you have, the way you are trying to get there isn't exactly helpful or working
no, i am not someone you've interacted with. i am a transabled being. the reason i am transabled is because i have autism, but was diagnosed so late into my life, i feel my symptoms are not "good enough", and feel as though i should have worse symptons/a higher "level". am i ableist?
I see. My thoughts? Help tell this to your psychologist, therapist, counselor rather then identifying with a harmful community filled with terrible people. My "goal" isn't to call out abliest its to stop a harmful community as such from spreading and affecting younger youth since many teens are already affected. I already have spoken and braught this communities awareness to professionals who give me advice one how to help and what resources to spread. I'm no "abliest" if I were I wouldn't be devoting years of my life learning psychology to help those who are struggling, those who are like me, and those who "aren't helpable" an abliest would be against any of what I do.
Throwing around the word ableism is - simply childish to me
#mizuki replies#i looked around in your blog before going to this one#i dont think im missng any important context#if i am i would appreciate it
