Chrissy has a trust fund that she was supposed to get when she turned 18 but her parents added a stipulation that she wouldn’t get it until she was married

they were sure this would stop her “silly little ideas of going to college” and get her to “smarten up and settle down with Jason”

Jason agreeing with her parents causes their breakup

at first Chrissy decides that since legally she will get her trust fund whenever she eventually gets married she might as well go to college and have fun for a few years and she can meet someone in 4-ish years to settle down with

but then she gets another idea

there’s no rule saying she can’t get divorced, nothing saying the marriage has to last

so she picks a temporary husband to get her trust fund

obviously it’s Eddie

but complications keep them from getting divorced so they have to stay married for a little while

And Chrissy falls for her husband

And by the time she’s able to get divorced she doesn’t want it anymore

happy, hopeful, almost sappy

the band can’t work with this

they go to Chrissy and ask her to break his heart, just for like a week, just so he can write some good angsty music

but eddie and Chrissy come up with a different idea

so their sex life gets super adventurous and Eddie gets lots of material for his music

and no one knows his lyrics about the “jailor keeping him chained” are literal

So she goes to Eddie, he’s great at getting things, maybe he’s golf at getting rid of things too,?

and now eddie and Chrissy are secretly raising dogs together, in the school.

(I’m thinking of Harold and Kumar but only super super loosely)

so the fic is POV eddie who feels like he’s a hero on an epic quest to find the holy grail (a burger) but every restaurant in Hawkins is closed (it’s a small town) and bennys is gone (rip Benny) and so it becomes a little heist fic where they break into the grocery store and steal the ingredients so eddie can cook for her
