I was thinking about star wars today.

I was thinking about how Padme is watching the Senate of the galaxy shift and vote against their best interests.

She says "this is how liberty dies. Through thunderous applause."

I can't help but think about that thunderous applause.

Applause for selecting a criminal-- a monster into the white house

Applause for seeing womens rights attacked and destroyed

Applause for LGBTQIA rights being set on fire

Applause for the inhumane ways to cleanse the country of "illegal" humans..

Applause for bombs dropping and cursing more foreign soil. Soil that now demands blood and sacrifice.

I sat and I watched Trump address the nation proudly. With a smug twinkle in his eye In the same breath he used to order bombs to drop, he utters the word peace. As though bombs and peace go hand in hand perfectly.

I felt my mind getting fuzzy. I felt my heart sink and my skin go numb. I felt my soul sigh and my bones started to ache.

Ache with guilt and fear and rage and sadness. The idea of peace, always seems to be dismissed by bullies with a balled up fist and unchecked rage.

We are simply the kids on the playground, watching as the biggest bullies wage war on those that differ from them.

America is the bully. America is the terrorist that breeds the cycles Of revenge. We are a nation that was built on the backs of Natives, and slaves, and immigrants.

When the rich wage war it's the poor who die.

As I think about my loved ones, my Future and the past. One thing is for certain.

I will not become complacent. I will not accept a rich man's war. I will not embrace the idea of using bombs to stop bombs. I will not forget my roots. I will not take this land for granted. I will not celebrate this country until liberty and justice truly IS FOR ALL.

I will fight for what is right. I will fight for who I love. I will fight for others that I have never met.

I will fight to protect my peace. I will fight to protect who I am. I will fight to keep my humanity.

Sometimes war doesn't always look like bullets and bloodshed. Sometimes it can look like economic crashes. It can look like desperation from the masses needing relief from the consequences of egotistical minds. It can look like riots. It can look like chaos on every level. What happens if the world collectively decides to put the bully in time out? A bully that has been unchecked for countless generations.

Well, we pay the price. But we must remember one important thing.

Keep your humanity. Keep your roots that tie you to kindness and goodness and hope. Do not become what you hate, because once you do, that means they have won.

Stay safe, my friends, and if you're feeling anxious or scared or hopeless, remember you're not alone. ❤️

i think the way the creators made vi have the two sides of her face represent her personality so distinctly is the most creative and perfect way they could of gone with her character design, one side is unscarred and hidden by her hair; can be shown how she’s gentle and able to be vulnerable to those she’s closest with, but only if she feels safe to let her guard down, the other side is scarred and revealed; how she’s portrayed herself to everyone, the strongest, the one who protects, emotionless, brave, and hot-headed altogether. her story lies just by looking at her, and i think that’s beautiful.
