i'm watching old soaps and i know you used to watch gh a million years ago so i have to know if you watched during this episode's era: the monkey virus outbreak. lmao it's so ridiculous. apparently luke spencer picked up a chimp on some tropical island and brought it back to port charles for his daughter lulu and it turns out the monkey is a carrier for a virus and it's infecting the entire town. this monkey was running through the hospital and jason and carly started chasing after it like i can't breathe i can't believe they actually for serious did a storyline about this lol
LOL did not see this one but it seems hilariously on brand, Anthony Geary is one of those rare soap stars who managed to get a big stretch of vacation time every year, so it's good to know they made use of his absence in the storyline.

how did chubs handle snuggles passing? I know when my friends dogs passed she was recommended to show her other dog the body so that it understood what had happened. alicent must have been kinda scared :( she settles in and then the status quo changes again. hopefully chubs still has a good couple of years left in her.
Chubs handled it okay I think, Snuggles died here and we kept her for a few days before having her cremated to make sure she understood that Snuggles was gone. She was definitely more sedate afterward though, and honestly what's weird is that obviously this is just a guess, but the emergency vets said that her tumor was probably growing for quite a few months up to a year, which would pretty closely coincide with when Snuggles died 😭😭😭😭. And yes, Alicent was already shy as fuck and very keyed into any significant changes, so she was definitely noticeably weirded out by Chubs being gone. LOL like while Chubs was at the vet she was mostly hiding and not desiring any cuddles, but as soon as I got up this morning she was like PET ME FEED ME, so I guess understanding that we hadn't just disappeared the other cat was a good emotional relief.

What’s a city you’ve never been to but have always wanted to visit for no real reason except it seems like it’s calling to your soul?

That little romper is adorable 🥹 has Alicent interacted with her yet I know some animals get put off by the sick vet smell.
I KNOW IT'S COVERED IN ALPACAS and she was surprisingly pliable when I shoved it on her. And yes, Alicent was all over her as soon as we got home, she's been a little tweaked with Chubs gone and kind of consistently hiding, like maybe she thought we were going to get rid of her or something? But as soon as it was apparent Chubs was home she came out to investigate and try to steal her food.

Chubpdate!
She is home and adorable and disoriented as fuck. But the vets were like oh well don't let her do anything strenuous but I doubt you have to worry about that, and immediately upon getting out of the carrier she has been looking around like she's ready to jump on her favorite high places.

Did they show you the tumor once they cut it out?
LOL I love that this is the immediate question because yes, I asked if anyone took a picture and the vet who was there was like "we have some chunks in a jar if you want to see it" and I was like YES PLEASE. It wasn't even the entire thing, there was just two big slices, but it was A LOT. Honestly the surgeon was still being cautious and she's not entirely out of the woods yet, something could still go wrong, but they were like "well she's not walking around and she hasn't eaten yet" and I was like I'm sorry is that an expectation her abdomen is split down the center and she just had a 5cm by 5cm tumor cut out of her gut.

The infant has made it through her surgery! There could still be complications but she's stable! And absolutely fucked up on meds at the vet!

I hate the "if we don't call you you're fine" from a doctor like leaving me sitting around for three weeks until I can finally unclench when they could have just sent a confirmation that everything looks ok. an no reply email even.
REALLY THOUGH. The doctor did just call finally and said that she's doing pretty decently aside from having low blood pressure, and you know obviously she could still crash out because she just got sliced open and had a big tumor cut out of her guts, but it seems tentatively okay? Which I know is reasonable because they probably only finished her surgery like 2-3 hours ago but like I NEED MINUTE BY MINUTE UPDATES I can't take the fear for my baby.

Chubs should almost be done with surgery at the moment and the doctor said that if I didn't get any calls then that was probably good news and I haven't gotten any calls BUT THE WAIT IS KILLING ME

can your kitties understand you? tumblr.com/memewhore/785015124489617408
I'm 95% sure that Alicent has figured out what "do you want to be petted?" means.

I WAS ALMOST GOING TO CAPTION IT WITH THIS but I wasn't sure if anyone would get the reference
One of the few upsides of having a pet in and out of the vet is that both of her front legs are partially shaved so it looks like she's wearing fuzzy boots.

With everything going on right now, it really is the American Gestapo we are dealing with. I'm terrified with how much of history we are repeating.
It is very scary, what's most unsettling to me is how many government employees now don't seem to give a fuck about open, intentional misconduct while they're being filmed. Their complete lack of concern about any possible repercussions does not inspire confidence.
