No safety. No food. No aid. No water. No healthcare. No education. Is this what it means to live? Is this what world accept as life?
If a group of animals were trapped, starved, and cut off from the world like this, people would be outraged. But because it's us—human beings—somehow, the world looks away.
These are unbearable days. Everything feels heavy. Each hour presses on my chest like I’m being suffocated.
My family needs urgent help.
Basic survival has become nearly impossible. Bread—just bread—now costs over $25 a day to make. We are not asking for luxury. We are begging for life.
Please, if you’re reading this: help. Reblog this post. Talk about us. Donate if you can. Even a small act can mean everything right now.

Light in the Darkness of Fear
Nothing like two times travelers taking a moment to reminisce good memories together (especially when one saw the other dead in an alternate timeline but that's not gonna be discussed.)
With the anniversary month for Castlevania Curse of Darkness and Castlevania Judgment coming to a close, I think it would be a good time to upload an art piece I finished for these two! Also just gonna say we need more emotional Aeon and Saint Germain fanart! Or hell fanart of them together in general!

Okay conspiracy theory time.
Hopefully this'll be my last rant (and then more art given my schedule for work starting next week will finally be more consistent) but looking at Netflix Castlevania Season 4 I honestly can't resist theorizing that Saint Germain's loved one wasn't originally planned to be a female love interest from the very beginning and that Saint Germain's character fell victim to a hasty Season 4 script rewrite.
The entirety of Season 3, Saint Germain goes on about his loved one, but never mentions anything contextual to suggest their relationship or even their gender. The fact that his loved one's silhouette was relatively androgynous (and Saint Germain never referred to them by specific pronouns in S3) makes me wonder if they actually were going to be someone else entirely, and if the Infinite Corridor was going to be more thoroughly explored through Saint Germain and his loved one.
I only mention it because Saint Germain's whole character feels so disjointed in his character development, and his entire story feels so hastily developed. Heck that whole montage of his character in Season 4 feels like it was made as a result from the season being rewritten!
That's not saying EVERYTHING in Season 4 was potentially rewritten, but Saint Germain's storyline definitely feels like potential evidence that there was a major script overhaul.
(Also not implying "Hooo lost media of Saint Germain loved one character model that's revealed to be Aeon" but genuinely I'm convinced Season 4 was massively rewritten.)

Honestly there's not enough horror fanart of Aeon in the CV fandom so with staying up late I gotta fix that. Hoping to upload some more art in the coming months!
(Also yes Tally Hall reference)

Alright this time it'll be the last time I complain and then more art (my job is trying to kill me). Warning another poorly constructed rant.
SPOILERS FOR CASTLEVANIA SEASON 3 AND 4
I can't get over how in Castlevania Season 3, the clues about Saint Germain's loved one were actually perfect for building up to them being revealed as Aeon and how of course it was wasted on an original character (if they could even be called that).
You had the whole bar scene with Saint Germain, Trevor, and Sypha, with Saint Germain revealing he lost someone in the Infinite Corridor
--Saint Germain: A long time ago, I lost someone very dear to me in the Infinite Corridor, and I have been looking for a way back ever since.
He doesn't refer to them by any pronouns, or any title specifically. It all leaves room for interpretation of *who* it could be.
Then there's the scene from Season 3 EP 6 "The Good Dream":
Tumblr media
Their silhouette is still completely ambiguous and androgynous in appearance, and for those who have played Castlevania Judgment they'd be forgiven for assuming it was Aeon given the stature of the character and the fact that the silhouetted mysterious figure scene sort of resembled this from Castlevania Judgment's intro cinematic:
Tumblr media
One could technically argue "But they didn't know about Castlevania Judgment or Aeon!!", but that argument falls apart in Season 4 when this scene comes up:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That's the throne room stage from Castlevania Judgment. Steve Stark from the animation team for the show even confirms it:
Tumblr media
Aeon is technically the protagonist of Castlevania Judgment, so to know or talk about Castlevania Judgment without mentioning/acknowledging Aeon is vaguely impossible given he's a key figure in it's storyline (this sounds dumb/ridiculous I apologize).
It's just absolutely ridiculous how if there wasn't necessarily solid evidence for Aeon, then at least there was potential for Aeon to be Saint Germain's loved one. To have Saint Germain's loved one turn out to be some original character was abysmal and is arguably one of the biggest examples of Warren Ellis doing whatever with the story because he *can*. The most insane thing yet with this is the fact that Aeon's name is listed on Saint Germain's wiki page! Even if they had no idea who to use for a loved one, an idea was provided to them already assuming Warren didn't just skim the wiki!
Tumblr media
(Image provided by Castlevania Wiki) Of course what could we expect from the writer couldn't even bother to include Grant Danasty?
Anyways I'm so sorry for how negative this whole ramble sounded. It's been bugging me for a long time and I haven't seen anyone on here really go in depth about it. In the end it was probably good Aeon actually was left forgotten because it's safe to assume Warren Ellis probably would have butchered the potential dynamic Saint Germain and Aeon could have had.
I hope everyone is doing okay and is staying safe and healthy!🩷

Actually I'm gonna give another crummy rant about how Saint Germain was treated in Netflixvania (sorry for how this is gonna sound and more art is coming soon)
SPOILERS FOR CASTLEVANIA SEASON 3 AND 4
The way Saint Germain was portrayed in Netflixvania felt so petty and meanspirited.
In Castlevania Curse of Darkness, Saint Germain is a well-mannered, charming, and skilled gentleman time traveler who goes out of his way to prevent Hector from unknowingly going down a destructive path that would not only result in his death, but the resurrection of Count Dracula. He even combats Hector in an awesome boss battle! (Him and Aeon having clock tower stages for their arenas is part of their time traveler swagger I suppose). Not to mention him running circles around Zead!
In Netflixvania, he's portrayed as a travelling alchemist and magician, which at first isn't necessarily a bad thing. Season 3 had you watching and thinking "okay well this is just Saint Germain at the beginning, once he reunites with his loved one who is totally Aeon and they go into the Infinite Corridor then he'll become the cool time traveler we know!"
But instead his loved one turns out to be some worthless original character (the name "Adventure Lady" is so offensive in lacking creativity, I'm calling the poor lady "Ariadne"), he gets turned into an antagonist, and he doesn't even get a good portrayal as a villain! He gets a whole humiliating scene with Death gloating about what an idiot he is for trusting him as well as getting talked down by Greta!
The whole portrayal of him feels so petty, awful, and meanspirited, and it feels like as a character and villain Saint Germain was put through a whole procession of being embarrassed, mistreated, and humiliated in his on screen adaptation. Given how Warren Ellis treated Theo James through writing Hector's storyline in Netflixvania (all of which was the result of some petty dislike for the voice actor) , it wouldn't surprise me if there was some similar motivation with portraying Saint Germain.
It's even more saddening when you remember just like with Hector and Isaac, this is the first time since 2005 Saint Germain has had an actual appearance in Castlevania.
Overall it's just genuinely saddening to watch, especially given Saint Germain is arguably one of my all time favorite Castlevania characters and to see him get treated so badly in his portrayal just hurts.
(Also gotta love the audacity they had in showing us Saint Germain in his classic outfit as an Easter Egg. Thanks Warren /s)

Auld Lang Syne
Okie I lied, one more CV fanart for the end of 2023! (Also I still need to do Maria Renard fanart at some point so far from last CV fanart lol. Not before my Blasphemous fanarts though!)
What a better way to celebrate New Year's Eve than some Aeon and Saint Germain fanart! It always saddened me how Saint Germain never got a cool Ayami Kojima mural painting, so I decided why not make a fun art study/tribute piece featuring Aeon and Saint Germain! Treated it like an oil painting study given I'm currently painting on mouse.
Aeon was difficult because the mission was to essentially reimagine how he would have looked if he had been designed by Ayami Kojima from the beginning as opposed to Takashi Obata! To sync with Saint Germain (Edwardian gentleman's attire), Aeon now has more of a semi historically accurate look to his clothes (1849 Victorian gentleman's evening tuxedo)! Also his Clockblade lacks a chain now due to imagining he would dimensionally manifest his weapon!
I'm super happy I could conclude the Year of the Rabbit with this art, and I'm very excited to begin the new year with much more!
Happy New Year! :D

Okay probably gonna make this the last thing regarding Castlevania before I start uploading some of my Blasphemous artworks but I'm still mad about Saint Germain's story in Netflixvania and the whole reveal of his loved one.
Yes this is primarily about Aeon not being Saint Germain's loved one, but honestly it's also the fact that the loved one was not even a canon Castlevania character, it was a worthless original character (Adventure Lady, that was literally her name) who can't even be called that given there was NOTHING about them.
To be even more honest, frankly I didn't even want her to have anything on her as a character in the series: I wanted them to be a canon Castlevania character, not a well developed OC! There's already a plague of original characters courtesy of Warren Ellis bloating Netflixvania and stealing positions/character development arcs canon CV characters could have filled within the story (looking at Lenore taking the place of Rosaly and Julia).
Aeon being Saint Germain's loved one (maybe adopted/bastard son? Father/Son dynamic would have worked!) was such a missed opportunity. To have Aeon reintroduced into Netflixvania and have him and Saint Germain being father and son in the series would have been genuinely cool, and would have made Saint Germain still a sympathetic character even if they still wrote him as an antagonist. Also it could have given the Infinite Corridor a chance to be explored in the series through a storyline focusing on Saint Germain and Aeon! The fact that there was arguably a small build up of it being Aeon (Saint Germain not referring to his loved one by specific pronouns and their silhouette looking slightly androgynous) makes the whole "Adventure Lady" reveal so much more disappointing.

I promise I will publish more art and stuff but I really can't help headcanon/muse on the idea that when he first joined the Time Watcher society, Aeon was deeply distrustful.
Before Saint Germain and finally having someone honest and kindhearted in his life through him, he was always by himself for the most part, feeling uncomfortable in situations involving numerous members such as meetings or get-togethers (sometimes forcing himself to go to not feel so distant), feeling like everyone was judging him in some odd way. Aeon didn't feel comfortable with closeness, he didn't like the idea of a forming friendships--it only left room for potential betrayals or people scheming against him.
And Aeon couldn't endure that again.

A few headcanons about Aeon and Saint Germain!
--Saint Germain and Aeon have a father/son dynamic, and while Aeon tends to be very distant towards many people in the Time Watchers society, Saint Germain describes him as being very pleasant and cheerful around him, even making jokes.
--Although he wears white and monochromatic colors, Aeon will wear various colors on other occasions that aren't obligation associated (i.e. tea with Saint Germain). Saint Germain meanwhile tends to stay with his usual red, black, and white color palette but tries to add variety to his outfits!
--While a gentleman, Aeon enjoys walks through nature or many different locations like forests, meadows, or even towns. He also has a fascination with sketching things in nature. Saint Germain enjoys accompanying him on his walks and even offers if they ever want to have a picnic in some of those locations!
--Aeon can be slightly overprotective of Saint Germain and almost wanted to get involved in his mission involving Hector and Zead, but had to be firmly dismissed from it.
--Saint Germain enjoys taking strolls through the Infinite Corridor, and Aeon will join him.
--The Time Watchers society is a Victorian looking organization/society in architecture (lots of street lamps and you know it), think 13th Street or City of Gaze from Castlevania Portrait of Ruin. I'm under the belief Aeon was walking from there in the intro of Judgment.
--Saint Germain and Aeon both have pasts they are both unsettled talking about. Not much is known but it's alleged Aeon has a fear of fire and Saint Germain constantly fears for Aeon whenever he has a potential mission involving the Time Reaper or Galamoth.

Liking the headcanon Aeon and Saint Germain have a completely goofy ass adorable dorky father-son relationship. We're talking Aeon accidentally calling Saint Germain "Dad", or Saint Germain calling Aeon "my boy!!!!".
Also headcanon Aeon is autistic/neurodivergent, and Saint Germain goes out of his way to be absolutely loving and supportive of his friend who's totally his adopted son.

I give you three Aeons. The other two were never confirmed to be Aeon but just shut up and let me have this!!! *sob*
I always felt like the Lost Soul was a variant of Aeon in the Castlevania Lords of Shadow/Mirror of Fate timeline! The colors! The striped arms he had! The whole "ensuring fate" thing which could connect to time! There's a connection!!!!
I don't really see much or any fanart of the Lost Soul or Eon Bernades! So they definitely deserved some attention and love :D
Eon Bernades is from Castlevania Seal of the Curse!

Clearly Netflix Castlevania isn't going to bring these two together so looks like I gotta do it myself. I can absolutely headcanon Aeon being the type to smile when him and Saint Germain hang out. Painted this with the mouse!
