my teenage self would be so jealous of where i am right now. it's not just the lab work or the fact that i'm getting ready to apply to grad school – i have friends who make me feel seen and professors who encourage me to reach my full potential. for the first time it feels like i'm in charge of my own life.

it also doesn't hurt that i just got an excellent grade on my biochem lab report – some things, like my need for academic validation, never change.

i'm spending the day tucked away in the library with a stack of books and articles for my history term paper. it's been harder than i expected to get going on this project; i'm so accustomed to STEM courses that this type of work feels strange in comparison.

that's natural, given how much i've progressed in my degree, but part of me can't help but feel nostalgic for my high school self who would have jumped at the chance to work on something like this.

Did some chemistry revision two days ago on bonding and structure. CGP makes the best revision books ngl.

Managed to finish revising for 3 topics out of 5 for chemistry yesterday. Need to the last two today then do Paper 2 English lit revision aka hell.

Total study time yesterday: 7hrs

Surprise surprise, more thesis work! It took me well over an hour to make like 2 graphs and I have 6 more to make rip me. Picked up another Lem book and I love it, how predictable

big lights giving me terrible headaches so i shifted to using my lamp and some painkiller

anyway i got terrible sleep- slept at 5 am and wake up by 7.30, im so exhausted and nauseous but eh wtv, the exam doesn’t wait for anyone.

i’m gonna be off my phone all day now (hopefully) cuz even looking at the phone increases my headache :(

I've been struggling to sit down and study for the past few days but I still push myself to study for at least an hour or an hour and a half.

I went to the bookstore again and saw some interesting books and customized my planner.

What do you think about my new design?

I had some time to read in a café. I haven't done this in a while because of my schedule and some adverse events in life, hehe. But today, I had time. I'm grateful for these little moments. :) By the way, I ordered my favorite matcha latte. 🍵

actually analysing the book!! i’ve got my notes that are in my copy, then the other notebook when my thoughts won’t fit in the book, or i really want to remember a page number or a particular thought.

it’s probably the best way i’ve decided to take notes on reading now? i used to jusg force fit everything in, but i like this system A LOT more, so i’d suggest it for my fellow lit studies people/people who just think a lot about what they read, and feel the need to write it down.
