Remaking an earlier post to clarify some of the wording
Note that strength in sense of identity doesn't necessarily mean you love living in your country, state, region, etc. nor does it mean you uncritically agree with the government of your government, state, municipality, only that you find it important to your understanding of who you are culturally.
Please reblog this version instead, the notes have gone insane on the earlier version with clumsier wording and I really do want to learn more about this. Also I will be making a non-U.S. specific version of this post soon. As usual, if you're not from the U.S. please don't vote on this poll but feel free to shoot me a DM for a screenshot of the results in progress!
#I’d have to say state#mostly bc I live in Virginia and it doesn’t rlly fit in any of the regions v well#technically we’re in the south#like we WERE the south yk#but also whenever I say I live in the south I feel like I’m lying#Bc in terms of what we culturally consider the south va doesn’t really fit those stereotypes#and were definitely not the north like it’s March and yesterday it was 80+ degrees here no shot#also it’s one of those states where the majority of people who live here grew up here so the identity of being Virginian is pretty strong

Do you have a Funimation subscription? If so, I need YOUR help!
For the past two weeks or so, there has been news going around that Funimation will be merging with Crunchyroll on April 2nd.
What does this have to do with Hetalia?
The entirety of Hetalia is already available through Crunchyroll (albeit, with the episodes are out of order) EXCEPT for the Paint It White! movie and the extras for Hetalia. The Paint It White movie is at least still available for physical purchase, however it is the extras I have the most concern about.
The Funimation dub can be considered important to Hetalian history and culture due to how much influence it had over the western fanbase. These extras serves as a time capsule for when Hetalia was at its peak within the west and provides behind-the-scenes insight to the dub voice actors.
I am not sure if it will be 100% guaranteed that these extras will be transferred to Crunchyroll. Especially since I have sent Funimation an email (left) and this is what they've responded with (right):
So, that information is not too helpful.
Aren't the extras provided within the DVDs?
As someone who owns the physical copies of seasons 1-6: Yes! But do they have all of the extras? No.
The DVDs do include the commentaries, outtakes, and interviews, but it seems that the Funimation page has exclusive stuff like World Buffet, panel footage, fan appreciation cards, and more.
I cannot do this on my own because while I do have a Funimation account, unfortunately nowadays, when you attempt to purchase a subscription, it will only redirect to the Crunchyroll website. Hence, I am asking the fanbase to please contact me if you are someone or know somebody with an ongoing Funimation subscription. The goal is that we can work together to guarantee the preservation of ALL of these extras!

Going to an american high school rn is so fun and cool bc why do I have to go through literal tsa at 8:30 in the morning every weekday 😭😭
#we have metal detectors at every entrance that everyone in the school has to go through every time they enter#(huge fire hazard btw#already caused issues earlier this year when someone pulled the alarm and my whole class got separated bc it was RLLY important that we#didnt touch the detectors)#but it also just makes logically no sense bc the teachers man them#and like if I pull up w a gun and the intention to shoot ppl#I’d just shoot whoever was working the detector and it’d no longer be a problem like what’re they even gonna do abt it#the things also will go off on you randomly like once a week so then you have to get searched#and if bc of that you’re late to class you already know they don’t give you a pass#they also make having a backpack totally useless bc before you go through the detector you have to take out like half your stuff#(binders water bottles computers glasses cases etc)#and hold it over your head where if your arms are too short the alarm will go off anyway#it really just shows how much of these safety measures schools are taking right now are only to pacify parents and totally fall apart under#any scrutiny#anyway I love our school system 😙✌️

i like to think Ludwig is good at putting himself together for meetings but outside of that he owns 17 pairs of those cargo pants that can be unzipped to be shorts and those are the only pants he wears.
He has tennis shoes, and a pair of hiking boots, but socks and sandals are his one true love.
he bought a sweatshirt once that he loved so much he bought it in four other colors.
He can put himself together for a meeting but this man doesn't know the concept of fashion in day to day wear.
