As Night Passes ------------------------- A moment of solace No performances or silly plays The night lulls those who answer its song The song is enticing some nights However, the loneliness is soothing In the comforting blanket of darkness One's mind can conjure anything in that moment; Dreams, passions, …regrets Or simply nothing, a quiet escape It’s an interval to be yourself The facade shattered until the morrow  A steady pulse unwavering It’s nice, the quiet of it all No passages of speech or loud machines whirring Pure serene silence That nightly song prods the solace As sleep encumbers the soul Waltzing with grace  The dark waits for your arrival once again

Does anyone else enjoy the night more than the day?
Yours truly

Hues of Merigold --------------------------------
A soft hue of orange surrounds my being Some question its colour and others repulse But what’s most interesting is, I’ve never seen it myself Shadows cloud my vision and blur the path ahead The orange warmth encourages me to take the first step To where you might ask? Well that I don’t know My curiosity couldn’t let this opening pass. The veil of darkness lingers to persuade My path becomes jagged and distant,  Again I have lost my way One day I might travel that road  Without the interpretation of shadows Just the marigold tint guiding my way Truly I wonder what’s down that path Will I be complete?

It's nice to see what you can write without thinking, surprisingly it helps clear your mind. I don't see myself doing this often but when I enjoy something I create you'll see it here
all the best
