I'm actually still in a state of shock that this day is here!! I always knew, always held out on the hope that she would buy her masters one day but I can't believe it happened so soon! There was never any doubt to me that Taylor would do everything and anything to get her masters back. I really can't believe it but it's here!! No more feeling haunted. No it’s crazy though because Eras and the TVs simultaneously decreased the value of the original masters for Shamrock while increasing the value of them for herself if she ever got to own them. Like her catalogue has only gotten exponentially more popular but the masters are really only worth their full potential in her hands.

the way taylor intertwined the re-records with eras is literally a major reason why today came true. she has not only gained unprecedented levels of power and influence as an artist, but also the money which financed this whole thing. the re-records helped her create a situation where she has a big enough leverage over the past owners and also they ensured that even if she is not able to buy back her work, she is still securing her legacy. two birds one stone.
