Kev [RECIPE] The Best Savory, Spicy, Salty Refreshing Beer You've Ever Had. It's spring time - and with Cinco de Mayo having just passed, it's officially open season for my favorite weekend beat-the-heat, quencher: the #michelada I posted a pic of one I made the other day and was asked to share the #recipe - so here you go. You will find a few million variations if you Google it but this is one of those few recipes where I throw away the oz measure, the teaspoons and all that jazz and just go 'by feel.' The first thing you have to know is that this 'beer' drink gets it's signature red color from Clamato. Basically tomato juice, clam juice and spices. I know - it sounded disgusting to me when I first heard about it, and honestly my first michelada's were made with plain tomato juice. Either is fine - both are tasty - although, frankly I recommend the clamato because it's typically a bit 'thinner' than tomato juice. You can just make a perfectly acceptable michelada without either tomato juice or clamato - it's not uncommon to run into it served that way. But try it with the clamato - really. Come on - it's just one drink. OK - so here is the recipe. As I said, it's all 'by feel'...
