Varas brushed his bangs back out of his face then gently shook his hand “heh, thanks..” he said nervously, rubbing the back of his neck with his free hand. Tal was still doubled over “that’s definitely going to leave a bruise, why are you so mean to me”  she mumbled as she finally stood up straight, still holding a hand over her side. Varas rolled his eyes “stop being so dramatic” he said with a huff.

Kali watched Lizzie walk off then looked over at Alex. She smiled then shrugged, she really didn’t mind. Chris snapped out of it and looked at Eliza, blinking “..what?” he asked, quiet confused. He hadn’t been paying attention to their conversation and was completely lost. 

Celes nodded “sounds good” she said then turned to her team, not noticing anything that had just happened with them.

Tal resisted the urge to roll her eyes “you don’t say?...i’m tal, this munchkin here is var-” she started to say but was cut off by an elbow to her side. For a split second it seemed like the arm Varas had elbowed her with was shiny and reflective, but as soon as you blink it was gone.  It got her to stop leaning on him as she doubled over, mumbling something. He looked up at Seymon “s-she was gonna say i’m varas..” he said then smiled meekly.

Kali smiled as she looked down at her “yep, i’m positive. i think we should just leave the flower crown wearing to you.” she said with a wink, amused at how fixated she was on her getting a flower crown.

Celes nodded “yeah, got any idea’s?” she asked, an eyebrow raised. She had kinda been winging it all day and felt like they needed a plan.

Tal folded her arms over Varas’s head and used him to lean on, to which he shot a glare at her but did nothing else to dissuade her. “you come here often mr grumpy gills?” she said jokingly to Seymon, a smirk on her face. She knew for a fact that Varas wasn’t going to socialize with anyone so she planned on forcing him to. 

Kali smiled “that’s cool. ah no thanks, flower crowns aren’t really my thing.. like on me...” she said then grimaced at how awkwardly that came out. She rubbed the back of her neck, putting her other hand into her pocket as she glanced over at the last installment to their group.

Stel looked slightly confused at how formal this kid was acting “uh, yeah ok” he said then glanced over at Rayne.

Varas looked up at Seymon, trying not to look as nervous as he was but was failing miserably. He gave him an awkward smile then looked down at his feet as he shuffled them around. He was nervous as all hell and it didn’t help that the guy on his team was honestly pretty intimidating.

Kali looked over at Eliza, smiling a bit at how cheerful she was “nice to meet ya, i’m Kali” she said then added “cute flower crown by the way” Chris on the other hand didn’t seem to pay attention to her at all, he had spaced out and was just staring down at the ground. 

Celes glanced over at Rayne’s group, back at hers, then to the last two up there. “Tal, c’mon you’re with us” she said, deciding to pick Tal to keep the teams somewhat balanced gender wise. Varas seemed to relax, at least a bit, as Tal walked over with a smirk on her face. She ruffled his hair “didn’t think you could get rid of me that easily huh?” she said jokingly. Varas huffed, batting her arm away then tried to fix his hair.

Chris shuffled over to where she wanted him to be then looked down at the ground, really wishing that he wasn’t here. He didn’t work well with others, he knew this for a fact, so he didn’t understand why he would be thrown into a place where he would have to work with others. He knew how to control his powers but when he lost his temper that was a whole other story. He was a hazard to others, hell he was a hazard to himself, and yet here he was.

Kali looked up, stuffing her phone into her pocket once more before jumping up out of the seat. She stretched then readjusted her jacket as she walked over, looking Rayne and Stel up and down before doing the same to Chris. 

Celes smirked slightly at the way he acted, he reminded her of how she used to be as a kid and it humored her. She looked over the remaining kids then said “c’mon Varas” then motioned for him to come over. He just stood there like a deer in the headlights for a good while before snapping out of it. He glanced back at Tal as he walked over, stopping next to Seymon. He nervously tugged at the hem of his shirt.

Chris blinked, standing leaned up against the wall awkwardly for a bit before putting his hands in the pocket of his hoodie and shuffling over to Rayne. Once he was standing in the vicinity of her he mumbled “Chris..” almost inaudibly. It was clear that he was very uncomfortable by the way he was fidgeting around. 

Celes scanned over the room briefly before her eyes stopped on Seymon. She pointed at him “Seymon right? you’re with me” she said. With all the paperwork she had to deal with she had already memorized all of their names.
