Chief was absolutely insane. No doubt about that. But Loqi wouldn’t stop this, he was quite amused by it. And he was curious, too… how far could they make parts of or whole Highwaymen fly? After all they deserved it for what they had done to Rush’s crew.

“Alright… we will place seven packages overall. Two at a time along the main road to their base. And one for good measure of surprise a bit further down when they try to flee. First we blow up the last ones and then the middle, then first. All in a row.”

A laugh BUBBLES out; Chief is smiling so wide it almost looks PAINFUL. Loqi carefully directs Chief where to put the dynamite whilst the Captain grabs ARMFULS of his gunpowder-infused weapons. And, as Loqi continued, Chief placed the dynamite where it all needed to go to explode in a fine display of CHAOS.

“You do this often?” He asks cheerfully, dusting his hands clean of excess powder as he jogs back to the other. The Captain toys with the fuse in his hands, idly connecting it to the DETONATOR.

Really all they needed was the HIGHWAYMEN.

“Cuz something tells me you do.”

there’s a PRESENCE in chief. one he’s never felt before. and it all started when he took a bite of that GODDAMN APPLE.

sure, the powers are sure nice: double jumping, advanced healing, a neat shield and more but chief can’t control ANY of it except for the double jump. and that’s because the power inside of him is ALIVE. a separate entity that he can only describe as a demon or ghost that came to possess him. its only purpose is to keep him ALIVE. it lives just underneath his skin, flecks of gold haunt his once blue eyes.

a trail of thinly-layered GOLD follows where he walks.

it cares not for others; it acknowledges chief’s dislike of being touched and it BUILDS on it, openly lashing out whenever chief draws back, movements like a SNAKE lunging for a bite. truly, it can be blamed for saving chief’s life.

back when rush was killed, chief took a SHOTGUN SHELL to the chest. the wound was gruesome when it happened. bones and rib-cage were on FULL display. by the time the twins were down there, kicking chief when he was dying, his wounds were already HALFWAY HEALED.

whatever this thing is. it is not to be trifled with.
