the best part of dead rising protags is they like to build up others, not bring others down. the setting gives them the chance to secure others. it really brings out the friendship nature i love dead rising for. yeah paul shouldn't be threatening people with a molotov cocktail, and hopefully he doesn't have a history with violence. but in Dead Rising, the themes of the game are about having faith in humanity, trusting other people to carry on your slack, trusting other people to understand you. Dead Rising is about rising people up to not live like they're dead. B))))

you know, i was thinking of trying to make some animation memes, i was thinking about Frank and all he’s been through, what people and events stuck with him ever since the Willamette outbreak; the Keyes’es, Jessica, etc

thinking about it, Paul probably stands out a ton in Frank’s mind too?

he’s the only person aside from Isabela to attack Frank and NOT come to their senses too late, isn’t he? everyone else Frank fought, if they came to their senses at all, their injuries were already fatal at that point so nothing could really be done.

Paul wasn’t exactly a super major character or anything but he sticks out as a character because he was saveable

he’s one of the few hostile people that Frank was able to get through to and save in time, a scared bullied kid that was pushed over the edge by the outbreak.

just like some of the others Frank fought, he was just pushed too far, didn’t actually wanna hurt anyone innocent, was just fucked up over the outbreak, just defending himself if anything. Frank couldn’t save the others who were like that, not Cliff, not Thomas (who, just like Paul, was also a scared kid who didn’t wanna be doing what he was doing), none of those, but he at least saved one of them.

I feel like that could have stuck with Frank almost if not just as much as everything else, all these people just defending themselves in the only way they could think to, so many people dying in front of him, but he saved this kid

I also like to think that (even despite the fact that you can take a picture of Paul on fire if you want) Frank still honored his promise to Paul and never told anyone about what he did.
