For my final project I decided to combine complimentary colors, and I guess you can call it pop-art with the paint splatters. I first decided to go with the colors of blue and orange. Since they are complimentary colors, they are opposite of each other but look very good together. The orange represents the warmth and the comfort of the piece while the blue represents the cool, calm, and aquatic tone of the piece. For the design on the left I thought of like and optical illusions how squares get smaller, I know it doesn't look like an illusion but that was the inspiration that I took. On the right I just put down whatever came to my mind and just jotted down some stripes on the right.
For my other theme I decided to go with what I guess you can classify as pop art or randomness. I put some paint on the end of my brush and just swatted it at my canvas, and I am really happy with how it turned out. I see videos on TikTok and Instagram of artist doing something regarding paint splatter, and I always like the way it looks so it was pretty cool to be able to try it for the first time. I also tried picking the two colors that would stick out the most, so I picked black because it was a light background, and the second color was this pink color that also gave it a good pop. Overall, I amvery pleased with how this artwork came out and happy about the paint splatter result

You know, it's kind of amazing how such a basic shape – just three lines meeting up – has stuck with us for ages. Think about the pyramids in Egypt – those massive triangles pointing to the sky. People way back then saw something really powerful in that shape, like it connected them to something bigger. And even in something like math, the triangle is the building block for everything else.
But it's not just about old stuff or school. You see triangles popping up everywhere with different vibes. Sometimes they feel strong and stable, like a solid foundation. Other times, the pointy angles give you a sense of energy and movement. And it's wild how many cultures use it to represent important ideas, like those three-part concepts you hear about. So, yeah, the triangle is way more than just a shape; it's got this deep history and a ton of different meanings packed into those three little sides. Pretty cool, huh?

This song about empowerment, independence, and the fire within women to overcome challenges and be their best selves. I also wanted to choose a sign I know and I have heard this song plenty of times.

This is my art work for this week, it was a little late because I couldn’t find a good magazine for the assignment. I chose a picture of a Women using two skin care products surrounded by purple and pink highlights. I chose skin care because typically women are more likely to buy and use skin care products like makeup and cosmetics than men. I chose purple and pink because that is typically colors that women embrace. This is not saying men cannot use these products or like these colors it’s just women are more likely to use these products.

These are the 3 pictures that I took using a “light source” for this weeks assignment. For my light source I used the sun and and the way it shines through these flags over windows in my living room. Every day at around 5-530 the sun shines perfectly into our living room lighting everything up and making it very bright in the house. When I saw this assignment I decided to wait until the sun was shining perfectly into my living room and snapped a few pictures that I liked. Showcasing the bright, and warm sun color and also the flags.

The redesigned 7/11 pizza box uses green and orange paint to enhance visual appeal and explore the impact of color psychology in marketing. Green symbolizes freshness and quality, subtly suggesting better ingredients, while orange stimulates appetite and excitement, encouraging impulse purchases. By expanding these colors, the design strengthens brand recognition and transforms the packaging into a more engaging visual experience. This project also reimagines everyday objects as artistic canvases, blurring the line between commercial packaging and creative expression. Ultimately, the redesign demonstrates how small design choices can influence consumer perception and elevate a common item into something more visually striking and conceptually meaningful.

This is my work from last week that I couldn't post. This Pop-Art I tried to do something that reminds me of trees and a forest, I used two color greens and put in a bird to add to the plants or trees that I used as well. This isn't really my best work, but I tried my best to make it as earthy as possible while also still having some pop to it.

Midterm
For my midterm project I wanted to draw something of something that I personally enjoy, So I asked AI to make to create me an image involving Vermont (Just because I'm visiting there) and music. I love visiting Vermont every year for snowboarding and seeing all the great ski resorts around this area. And then music, I feel like music makes every experience better. So, I attempted to draw some mountains and flowing rivers and tall trees, I didn't personally like the music notes on the AI photo so for the Sun on the top of my work I put the Grateful Dead logo in the sun because I'm a fan of their music and it relaxes me and their whole music is about the "experience." I think the use of Digital Creating is extremely helpful because sometimes you just need some inspiration to get you started and using AI or something else makes it a lot easier to do so.

And this is Sam's work that I used
Tumblr media
For my outfit I used the colors purple and yellow for the background. I always liked how the two colors went well together. I tried to be creative when making my outfit. I used flowers as the pants and a wolf for the head piece.

This is one of the Paulies that I took inspiration from
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The album cover that I designed mine off is the “When we were friends” album by the The Backseat Lovers. My favorite song off this album is Kilby girl. What gave me inspiration from this cover to do my work was the bike on the road. I decided to draw a car on the train tracks. What this meant to me was that people can go on different paths in life. For example, in the original cover they take the bike on the road to signify a new route and growth, similar to mine with the car on the road.

This is the work I did for this week's assignment. I took inspiration from Paulie and Sam's work. I saw that they used a contrast of dark and light colors and tried to resemble something similar. On the left side of my work, I tried to use bright colors like something that jumps out at you. On the right side I tried to use more darker colors like Grey and Brown to keep it more balanced out. I also included some pictures from magazines from which I thought were bright and uplifting and also some that are dark and down

I love the background colors and the randomness of the clothing pieces. I also like the tickets you added above.

I pulled my outfit and accessories from a GRWM magazine and i wanted to create an edgy look. The shirt and skirt were worn by Meredith Duxbury on a red carpet for a fashion event. The purse adds a little pop of color to the black and white outfit and the bracelet adds a shine to the look. The shoes are made by Prada and give a lifted goth vibe to the look. I chose yellow and purple to make the pop of red stand out and also to make the black and white pop rather than fade into the background.

Looks good Declan, I like the creativity with the old school tyle shoes and haircut with a new player like CC22

The color combination I chose for the background was yellow (warm-toned) and purple (cool-toned). The outfit consists of Allen Iverson's head and Caitlin Clark's jersey, both from SLAM magazines. I attempted to keep the same basketball theme throughout with the shoes, but struggled when it came to pants.

This is my second piece of work from this semester. I chose the background colors of Blue and green for a more Analogous color combination. These are two of my favorite colors in think slight blue highlights look good with green. In terms of the outfit, I didn't really know where to start. The hat and the shirt came from a flower's magazine where I just outlined a shirt and a hat that I cut out. I think the Lavander and the white in the clothes look really nice. The arms and legs are bullets pulled from a hunting magazine, there is no real meaning behind them, it's just the only thing I had in mind

This is my first art piece of Arth-322. For my album I chose Utopia by Travis Scott. Travis Scott has been one of my favorite artists for a while now and wanted to bring my touch to the album cover. The original Album cover is pretty plain and could have used some more. I added a set of eyes on top of the whole album recapping one of him most popular songs "My Eyes" where it starts out slow and then picks up. He dedicates a whole verse to talking about what it is like to walk in his shoes. On the bottom I put two sections, the left side as the "utopia" or the perfect world. On the right I have a drawing of hell and darkness. This really sums up what Travis' discography really is which is a roller coaster of emotions. One song can be completely up-tempo and fast paced then the next can be a dark eerie song.
