I thought Ryder said 大好きな多いこと or “many things you love,” turns out I totally misunderstood, he said 甥っ子と! Very different 😭😭

I also thought Lucas was saying 視界 like “vision” and that evidently wasn’t the case. He says 僕しか相手, I’ll get to that a bit later.

And then I lastly thought Knack said お任せ which is definitely not お待たせ. In that case it’s closer to English.

Allow me to provide you with a much better translation:

Lucas: Are you ready to go, Knack?

Ryder: Aren’t there better places for hiking?

Lucas: Oh? Is that a hint of regret I hear?

Ryder: Hah, maybe! It sounds like fun!

Lucas: Hey, Knack, won’t you help?

Ryder: If my beloved nephew can spend his vacation, then I’m happy.

Lucas: Is it because I’m your only nephew*?

Ryder: Well… maybe that’s right!

Lucas: Let’s go, Knack!

Knack: You kept me waiting! Alright Lucas, let’s go!

*Okay so, Lucas doesn’t actually use the word for nephew here. Ryder uses nephew, but Lucas says 相手. And 相手 is more along the lines of “partner” or “companion.” It could also refer to an “other party,” like an acquaintance. So that’s really interesting!

Here is my ROUGH translation, I couldn’t quite parse out one of Lucas’s lines, but I’ll try to get back to it later tonight. Thank you for your patience.

Lucas: (not quite sure what is being said here, if you could find the Japanese text that would help. It’s like “don’t do…” something).

Ryder: Fair enough, sounds like fun!

Lucas: Hey Knack, won’t you help?

Ryder: I wonder how many fun things you can do to spend the holiday… (something along those lines)

Lucas: There isn’t anything beyond my vision! (Something like that? Sounds like an “anything’s possible” type of thing)

Ryder: Ah, indeed.

Lucas: Let’s go, Knack!

Knack: Leave it to me, Lucas! Let’s start this adventure!
