like I’m just in awe I get to be alive to enjoy an adaptation so well crafted. I’ve been reading the books and they really are masterpieces of imagination and sensuality. anne rice is so inspirational to me. the show has gone past simply updating the books for a modern audience, and right into crafting something new and brilliant, with the same soul as the original works…
and most critically. this show and these books are absolutely chock full of evil cunty gay people to a degree I have also never seen before except in maybe the locked tomb series
the latest interview with the vampire episode is possibly the most satisfying episode of television I have ever seen in my entire life
okay okay I know the point of this is “White people need to put as much effort into learning how to pronounce Black people’s names as they do foreign European names” and 100% I totally agree, absolutely good point
but this tweet becomes hilarious in the context of this clip:
anyways, absolutely put effort into learning how people pronounce their names. just don’t feel bad if it takes you some time to get it right 😅
(also in case you didn’t watch the video it’s “N-SHOO-tee” not “SHOO-tee”)
we should let one cishet boyfriend attend pride but he has to be locked up in a basement somewhere suffering the whole time to ensure everyone else has fun
I really do think Hannibal would make Lestat cry first. 100%. it's not even a possibility the other way around. Lestat is such a sensitive insecure soul under it all and so all Hannibal would have to do is call Lestat uncultured and say something about how he grew up in the middle of Siberia and still managed to learn to read without vampiric super powers and it would be all over for Lestat
Lestat would absolutely eat him first no question. But he'd be crying and raging while doing so
first strike against someone I follow for making a suspicious reblog shipping two married actors from [redacted crazy fandom] show. if there’s a second strike I just gotta bail bc that’s way lies madness. I don’t wanna sit through delusion or brainworms and that’s the only result of such thinking
You squint your eyes in the direction of the forest edge, between the shadows and the mist you see pale, humanoid shapes. It's not ghosts, not this time, but a herd of brynaglo. This nocturnal herbivore has an inquisitive but careful nature, listening with its large ears to anything that catches its interest before slowly and quietly approaching. It's not unusual for brynaglo to approach campsites in or close to the forest, often with terrifying effect on non locals.
