Um... Well....

My 7 year-old simming laptop’s graphics card is pretty much fried and the hard drive is throwing fits more often than usual. I was thinking about buying a new desktop next year but apparently it may happen sooner than expected.

So yeah.... no TS2 for a while? It’s sad because I launched the game recently after a long break to make this pink Sim but looks like the computer had enough. ^^’ 

Of course, there’s a big chance the new machine will have Windows 10, which is not the best for TS2. I might try to experiment and install the game on Linux! That will be a cool mini-project!

@kitteninthewindow has found that you can change witch cats with simpe like you can with servos! y'know, like what you did with Mathilde!

Do you know if it's safe to edit the appearance of witch cats in TS2? (The cats summoned via a spell)? I don't want corruption in my hood

I think so. @midgethetree has a mod to change the appearance of puppies, kitten and spectral cats. I personally use her mod with mine and no signs of corruption so far.

Thank you for finding the conflicts! Unfortunately, I don’t have any of the other mods so I can’t recommend any load orders and I can’t have access to the game for now.

Some of the conflicts are mentionned in this thread with some resolution details. Sorry I can’t do much for now.

Hi! I'd love to edit Part 3-21 of the Traits Project (Yes Hello?). I'd like to change: Loners are more likely to decline party invitations (65%) to a lower percentage, could you please tell me how to do this? I've found 0xE (14): [global 0x049F] Random - Chance X out of Y(Literal 0x0023, Literal 0x0064) and in the instruction wizard, one is 35 and one is 100 so I think it's the 35 I need to change but I'm not sure if its right or if anything else needs to be changed too. Thanks

That’s exactly it! First value is 35 and the second value is 100 so Loner Sims have a 35/100 chance to accept party invitations. You can change these values without any problem. To make these Sims have a higher chance to accept party invitations, you either need to change 35 for a higher value and/or change 100 to a lower value. Changing 35 to 70 means that Loner Sims have a 70% chance to accept party invitations.

Be sure to edit both BHAVs (group 0x7F616D94 and 0x7F2589BC).

Hi! If I may ask, in your traits project, how come eco-friendly sims prefer to shower rather than bathe? Doesn't showering waste more water?

I thought it was the opposite, but I guess it depends on how long you take to shower and the size of the tub. The faster you shower, the less water you use.

The mod was inspired by the attributes given to Sims having the Eco-Friendly trait in TS3 (faster shower, prefer showers over baths, positive moodlet when taking a shower, negative moodlet when bathing).

Since it’s such an easy challenge for me because my Bellerose Sims are already dressed in a color, I decided to create a new Sim in my scifi themed game.

The randomizer chooses pink, so here’s Bubblegum Binch for you, a mischievous individual, always having the best prank ideas.

Are the twins identical? How do you even keep track of them? XD

They’re almost identical! I think Yvon’s brows are thinner? I’m not sure xD They use different portrait poses so I usually keep track of them thanks to that. Their personality and set of traits are different thankfully! For some reason, Yvon like to pick fights with people so when I see one of the twins being mean to someone, it’s almost always him!

Hello i went to download your collage type text replacement for my laptop and it just displays a black screen it works fine on my desktop its ok if it cant be fixed but i have no clue why it works on one and not the other. Thanks - A Confused Simmer

It may be a codec problem.  @simsllama had the same problem and managed to fix it so I recommend checking his post.

I updated the post since you’re not the only one having the problem.

Question: what operating system does your laptop and your desktop use? It seems that Windows 7 is missing some codecs? I made this replacement using the VP6.1 codec on Windows 8.1.
