I like to think that the two goldfish that In-ho had kept represents him and Jun-ho, and just in theory, foreshadows their ending together.

this could just be lighting and perspective but it looks like one goldfish is slightly bigger than the other, which could signify an older sibling (bigger) and younger sibling (smaller). In-ho bought the goldfish before he entered the games, both brothers were still family, as in they were still together in each other's minds as siblings. But when Jun-ho finds the goldfishes, both have died and then at the end of S1 he finds out his older brother isn't the same one he knows, isn't the one he grew up with. think about it like In-ho's identity as older brother is now dead so there's only the frontman left. At the same time Jun-ho has also done things that have ruined himself such as killing people and lying to protect a criminal, hes not the same person he was before either. Both brothers have, in a way, died at heart, no longer being young goldfish together. As the goldfishes had succumbed to death in the bowl with each other, not alone, I like to imagine that this is how the brothers will have their ending — dying together like the goldfishes In-ho kept.
