"Let us meet at the Broken Bridge again."
Here I am with a new lbc sinner oc hehe Bai Suzhen, based on the legend about White Snake, a pretty popular plot with plenty of adaptations in Chinese Opera (and not only) Subtitle: [毒物] (cn. "Venom") *** "The White Maiden of Hongyuan", "The Silver Serpent"—such were the names whispered about Bai Suzhen by those who had glimpsed her even once. Her genetics had adapted well to H Corp’s Bolus, mutating her into something more stable than most of the unfortunate subjects. However, a tool remains a tool, no matter how exquisite.
Then came the rainy afternoon by the lake, when a soft-spoken man offered her his umbrella. His name was Xu Xian, and for the first time, something inside her stirred—fragile, like the first bloom of spring.
A pharmacist by trade, Xu Xian ran a modest apothecary. In the quiet hours between dusk and dawn, he shared with her everything he knew. "I don’t deserve thisss... I’m just... a beasst." "I'll tell you something about poison," he replied gently. "In the right hands and in the right amount it becomes the best medicine."
For a fleeting moment, Bai Suzhen let herself imagine the impossible—a simple life with him where she could be just a normal girl. *** The Lord’s orders were clear: leave no one alive in Leifeng Pagoda. Routine work. Faces blurred. Sound faded. A strike, a pivot, another strike. "Bai Su—" A strike.
Xu Xian crumpled, his blood pooling dark and thick.
And in the hollow silence of her mind, a single thought echoed: "This is why beasts and men were never meant to walk the same path." *** Weeks later, a figure in an owl mask found her perched on the bridge’s edge.
"Miss Bai," he said. "Let’s make a deal."
She didn’t move.
"I’ll purchase your life in exchange for your loyalty," the man continued. "...How are you different from the Lord then?" "I’m not."
This time, she faced him. What did it matter? A tool has no will—only a hand that wields it. Perhaps, in Limbus Company she could find the answer to the question that is still haunting her. What was Xu Xian doing in the Leifeng Pagoda that day?..
*** Intro: "Lor... ah, no— Manager, I am here to ssserve."
Particulars: Diligent, Reserved
[As a former Heishou Pack member, this sinner is highly cooperative and respects authority. Her expertise in herbal medicine makes her an invaluable asset who can possibly take charge of other sinners' minor health issues. However, her loyalty is not a trait to be exploited. Even the best tools can harm the owner if used incorrectly.]
E.G.O: Stream of Tears Unshed ("Nothing ever could wassh away your blood...") Sin Affinity: Gloom Facts: - The mutation affects her physiology. Besides the traits usual for Si Branch Heishou Beasts, she also gets less active in the cold. - Makes medicine using her own poison; other sinners have contradictory opinions about this fact. - Feels a bit stiff in a new company, but being somewhat a medic, she tries to be useful to the others. - During the mission, she is usually the first sinner to voice out quite brutal proposes.

And yeah, I've updated his story too! My next goal is to rework some of my lcb sinners' pre-limbus stories to make their backgrounds clearer~

"All, all that threatens to destroy Fills mortal hearts with secret joy."
The Executive Manager of the LCB-T-01 branch, going by number 1 — Walsingham.
His literary reference is "A Feast in Time of Plague" from Alexander Pushkin's "Little Tragedies" with some inspiration from John Wilson's "City of Plague" (as one piece is literally based on the other) ***
"I am your manager. You may call me Walsingham. However...
I am not your friend. Not your savior. And certainly not your ally.
Do not hope for mercy. Do not expect gratitude. Your lives now belong to me — and I will spend them as I see fit. But do remember: as long as I live, you will not die permanently. For I am the door between you and eternal darkness.
Welcome aboard the Thanatos."
***
The man in the owl mask, whose E.G.O. manifested during the period of White Nights and Dark Days. Limbus Company's sponsor at first, then he joined it for reasons known only by him and the uppers of the company.
His choice of sinners was intentional — only defects, mistakes and unwanted remnants of the City can synergize with his E.G.O. and join the Feast.
When a sinner dies, Walsingham adjusts his mask — just slightly — and finds himself in a black void at the head of an endless dining table. The sinners’ corpses sit in chairs, their bodies preserved mid-death. To revive them, he must "consume" their deaths — a grotesque feast of their final moments, traumas, and unspoken regrets. For the sinners, revival is near-instantaneous. For Walsingham, the process feels much longer.
Constant revivals erode his mind. The mask—his last barrier between order and collapse — absorbs the damage, but the cracks deepen. At night, he removes it to reveal a face haunted by a thousand deaths, not his own. And yet the worst missions make him feel truly alive. He is too defiant to break as he thrives in the control he has amidst the chaos.
If his existence has purpose only when things go terribly wrong, his Feast will continue. ***
Facts: - Every sinner's death has a specific taste and texture for him. - Jeff theorizes that his face is "a void" or "another, smaller mask." He doesn’t correct her. - He knows that something is not right with Défago. Only his corpse stares right at him during each Feast. - When stressed, he taps twice on the left side of his mask—like a heartbeat.

"…I hate to write my name on the back of a check almost as bad as I do on the front."
Dropping one more sinner oc yay— This is Jeff Peters, based on O. Henry's "The Gentle Grafter". Subtitle: [DECEIT] ***
"If there’s a rule, there’s a flaw. If there’s a flaw, there’s me."
Jeff Peters didn’t exist — she was a patchwork of stolen identities, forged papers, and smiles sharp enough to slit pockets. She’d been a pawnbroker in H Corp’s Backstreets, a Wishpower sticker scammer in District 10, even a ”long-lost heiress of the company” in K Corp’s Nest — all roles played with the same grin.
Her memories blurred until she couldn’t recall her original face. Not that it mattered. Life was a rigged game, and Jeff always dealt the cards.
Her last con should have been simple: pose as an Office Operator, forge a contract with some rich fool in an owl mask, vanish with the money while the Office "accidentally" burns. But when she reached for the pen, his gloved hand clamped onto her wrist.
"Jeff Peters," he said coldly. "Trying to scam me is… ambitious. But I’d rather hire ambition than bury it."
Jeff laughed, signed the contract and... stole his pen.
***
Intro: "Sooo… you’re the big boss, huh? Tell me, hypothetically… what’s the penalty for ‘misplacing’ company funds?"
Particulars: Scammer, Resourceful
[This sinner is a chronic identity-hoarder with a talent for "creative accounting." Her past is hardly traceable even for the company—every record contradicts the last. While her technical skills (forgery, acting, and "asset redistribution") are unparalleled, her loyalty is as stable as a house of cards in a hurricane. Highly effective in roles requiring deception, but we highly recommend monitoring her access to company's resources. NOTE: Her current name is likely temporary.]
E.G.O: Zero-sum Game ("Turns out, you can cheat fate. Watch me.") Sin Affinity: Gluttony
Facts: - Probably wanted by Öufi Association's South Section. - Has many various skills from playing card games to cooking desserts. Doesn't remember who taught her that. - Bears the effects of the Mirror Worlds identities borrowing more lightly than anyone else.

"There's places in there nobody won't never see into—nobody knows what lives in there either."
Returning to some horror (?) classics inspiration for the new lcb sinner oc. Here comes Défago, based on a character from Algernon Blackwood's "The Wendigo". Subtitle: [RÔDEUR] (fr. "Stalker) ***
Born in District 12 Nest, Joseph Défago was drafted into the Smoke War as a teen. He fought, he ran, and managed to move to the outer Districts, where he carved out a new life as a guide to the Outskirts. He was unlicensed, unafraid, and alive in ways his past life never allowed. For him, the wilderness was a calling.
Until that expedition. Deep in the black pines—where no human had ever walked and returned—Défago was dying. Bleeding out, fingers blue with frostbite, he fumbled with his lighter. The fire wouldn’t catch. And then... something spoke. Not to his ears, but to the hunger in his bones. "Défago." "Do not weep. Give it to me." "Your feet—lusting for horizons." "Your eyes—hungering for beauty." "Your memory—defining the essence of humanity." "I will take it all."
When he woke, the cold was gone. So were his wounds. His pack sat beside him, untouched. The snow bore no footprints leading in—only the mangled remains of something vaguely human, half-buried behind him.
He blinked at it, uncomprehending, then turned back toward the City. His name was Joseph Défago.
*** "Your file says you've stopped guiding," the man in the owl mask noticed. "Interesting."
Défago smiled good-heartedly.
"Stopped? Non, non, just… took a break. Guess I miss the City, me." ***
Intro: "Ah, Manager Boss! Good to see you—eh, real good. Joseph Défago, at your service."
Particulars: Sense of direction, Cheerful
[A seasoned guide from the Outskirts, this sinner exhibits exceptional adaptability and teamwork. While his optimism might seem excessive for someone in his profession, it’s proven effective in keeping the team functional. He respects authority, yet operates best with minimal oversight; give him a direction, and he’ll carve a path through most problems.]
E.G.O: Call of the Distance ("Hear dat, eh? Somebody's callin' homeward...") Sin Affinity: Gluttony
Facts: - Finds rational explanations for every quirk he has. Genuinely believes in them. He never gets cold? "Built up immunity!" He eats for three people? "A guide's habit—never know when the next meal comes, non?" His fingertips are always cold even in hot weather? "Eh, bad metabolism." - The real Défago was a quiet, introverted man who hated the City. But this one is quite the opposite. In his opinion, he's "just become a bit more mature." - Older brother energy. (ironically he's one of the nicest and outgoing sinners on the team)
