It really is great to hear that James Wan and Leigh Whannel will have some (as yet undefined) creative involvement in future Saw movies under Blumhouse, but I think I’m going to have to come to terms with the fact that this likely means XI as we knew it is dead in the water, and we’re never going to see Hoffman again.

As legitimately curious as I am about the new future of the series, that makes me really fucking sad.

Saw XI will do something bold and crazy where at the end of the movie the entire world is suddenly blown to smithereens with no explanation. And then people will be like "oh thank god that's it there will be no more Saw movies" BUT what they won't expect is the post credits scene which reveals that the iconic bathroom has actually been a doomsday shelter/rocket ship the entire time. And then the next 15 movies will be about Hoffman's cool adventures in space with his awesome skeleton crew of Adam, Zep, and Xavier

The closing shot of XI will be Hoffman putting on a pair of sunglasses and saying "Looks like the game isn't over yet, huh... Step on it, doc" and then an epic sci-fi remix of Hello, Zep will play as Lawrence's foot hits the gas and the bathroom rocket ship blasts off into the cosmos

And it's gonna go so fucking hard. You won't believe it til you see it
