1860s attires from an 1952 exhibition in Oslo. All I can think is BALLGOWN AMINTA AND HUSSAR RAOUL. Perfect Masquerade costumes!

The dress is from around 1860, and from to the Cappelen family. It’s made of pink silk and decorated with black lace. The Hussar uniform is of yellow and blue wool with metal trims and fur details. I think it’s in Norwegian Folk Museum today, on loan from the Swedish Livrustkammaren.
