i love how delusional some articles of clothing are, like you read the tag and its like “hand wash only/tumble dry on low” son you are a cotton tshirt. youre going in the warsh and whatever happens in there is in gods hands

What I love about the spaces that are truly "hidey holes" is the sense of your interaction with the space somehow being different from your interaction with its surroundings. This gives it a sense of being elsewhere - perfect for reading and being transported to another place, time, and identity. In this case, the difference comes from the small space, the "out of the way" aspect, and the fact that it's functionally on the floor. 

Also, that rug!

I'm not sure I'd ever actually sleep in the bed, with that huge window seat right there...

I love this - I'd add some wall art of some kind to the underside of the stairs to give it a feel of escaping somewhere. I might even add a curtain, but I think claustrophobia would prevent that from lasting long! It's such a great use of space, though.

O.O The purple couches...the archway into another room that also looks gorgeous...yes please!

This is a little more traditional than I usually like, but I can just imagine having this room in a more modern house. It'd be such a nice get-away from everything else!

This is such an adorable room! I can't tell if it's a bedroom, guest room, or adorable office - regardless, I love it.

This is such an interesting take on a window seat...I would, assuredly, have books on those shelves, but it's a fantastic setup!

It's a little hard to see the window seat itself, but I love the whole set up, too. It's so cozy! I bet it has a great view of the rest of the house, too, from the looks of the stairs and their placement.

This one is something I could see being able to afford myself, it takes a room that's really quite ordinary (though with gorgeous floors!) and makes it special.

This one's really bright and cheerful - I would've especially loved it as a child. I think I'd add some fantasy touches to enforce the whimsy of it.

Fireplace and books, and a spacious room in which to enjoy both. Awesome.

The contrasts in this room are just gorgeous, and the bed looks so inviting and comfy.

Beautifully appointed and rich, without being overwhelming - lovely!

I love the size of this one - really feels like a home library without being intimidatingly opulent.

Can you imagine having a spot like this to read in as a child? Pure gold!
