all jokes aside, it makes me very sad how literally the entire internet, especially social media, has just become more and more unapologetic in trying to wring as much money out of you as possible. can’t go on youtube without being bombarded by youtube red ads promising that if you just give them money, they’ll block the pesky ads who are also begging for your money. can’t stream a movie without searching for it on each of the dozens and dozens of streaming platforms. all demanding individual subscriptions for their tiny share of the world’s movies that used to just all be on netflix. every news site counting down your free three articles, all the while begging you to turn your adblock off. click off instagram’s stupid shopping tab, and the first post on your timeline is with #ad. and of course, now, tumblr’s adding post plus. i hate it!! hate getting advertised at everywhere i go. hate that social media’s not even supposed to be social anymore, just another thing to monetize. i’m so sick of it!!! can’t escape it ever!!! give us 9.99 per month for exclusive fucking content!! fuck!!

Cameron Monaghan adds his name to the list of Gotham cast members who would be willing to reprise their roles. No cast member is on record saying that they wouldn’t want to. The producers have said that the Gotham finale is designed to serve as a pilot for a Batman show. David Mazouz has said he’s eager to play Batman and expressed enthusiasm for the possibility, Cameron Bicondova has said she’d love to play Catwoman, Robin Lord Taylor has said he’d jump at the chance to play Oswald again. If Warner Brothers would green light a Batman show, the cast would be on board.

The great delight of my day is – after weeks of listening to people argue that Luther/Allison is incest – watching Aidan Gallagher drop a “hold my beer” moment on the fandom and posit that Five and Vanya crushed on each other.

I FEEL A GREAT NEED TO PRESERVE THIS ARTICLE FOREVER

At a certain points the allusions to Oswald still being in love with Ed just feel a little cruel, like I know the writers/show-runners will never have the balls to actually make it come to anything other the unreciprocated and heartbreaking, so belabouring just to make Oswald look… Pathetic? Ridiculous? When this is the only hint of a mlm romance you’ve had across 5 seasons and 5 years? I dunno, feels kind of a weak and played-out and straight up mean note to go out on. 

I know I’m coming at this from the perspective of someone with a strong bias in favour of them as a couple, but I just really think that narratively in terms of Ed’s development and their upcoming “realisations” about “how well they compliment each other” the most satisfying and punchy ending for them would be Ed coming to love Oswald back - maybe realising he always did - because as much as they destroy their relationships with everyone else they always end up finding each other somehow and I can’t believe the writers don’t seem to see the ridiculous amount of romantic potential in that. 

I’m just so fucking cynical about Fox and the way they framed Barbara and Tabitha’s relationship after she died, demoting it down to that “best friends” bullshit was so disheartening, man.
