Tbh the guy in pyjamas was one of the highlights for me, seems way more interesting and original than a lot of the other stuff in the trailer that's just kinda pretty or cool or cute in a very AAA videogamey way. Like I immediately wanna know what's his deal? Weird old guy in a unflattering dirty onesie with a little bow and an eyeless helmet - that's a new and exciting fromsoft NPC if I ever saw one.
Idk, maybe it will turn out this kinda popular style mishmash is actually the point of it all and has a really cool cohesive idea behind it. It's just surprising to see this from a company that's so committed to putting a lot of thought into how things mesh together.
Am I the only one who thinks Duskbloods kinda looks like ass? Idc about graphics, but the aesthetics seem both super inconsistent and kinda generic to me

The Warhammer Plus shows have some very fun Trazyn moments. You can find clips on youtube. Oh, and The Templin Institute even got the official Trazyn VA for their video on the Necron Dynasties!
Oooh yea I saw that one Hammer and Bolter ep he's in, are there others?

Since you're clearly a ttrpg enjoyer, do you have any stand out moments from games you were a character in, that live Rent free in your head?
God sorry anon, this took me forever to answer this cause picking one is an eternal struggle, so I just went with the most recent campaign.
Right now I'm in a group doing this kinda wacky kinda metaphysical kinda horror planescape module and my character is this useless nepo baby elf bard that's got a dead planar philosopher stuck in his head. The philosopher character is like a mix of Diogenes and Slavoj Žižek, but if they were a fucked up old lady. It plays kinda Disco Elysium coded, but if instead of 24 semi-useful skills you had one horrid old hag who sporadically takes over to be a societal nuisance.
It's really fun to play in general, but my fav moment was when the party went to a high end philosophical debate and we needed a diversion. The philosopher part was immediately like "say less" and dragged the bard part up on the stage to do some choice Diogenes prop comedy by pulling up whatever junk they had in their bag and being like "behold, a [previously sloppily defined concept]!" while the party goblin and aasimar did like high-stealth low-acrobatics circus act in the background trying to steal the debate notes. Peak shenanigans.
#deliberately keeping things a bit vague cause I don't want to spoil the module for others#big kudos to our DM for adapting to our BS#if you want me to be really annoying you gotta ask me about larp stories tho

sincere and utterly adoration for how you draw vetinari. I am chewing on him like a dog. sometimes I just open up your drawings of him, stare at them for a few seconds, and then get back to my job in wrangling things and people. he is my little "hang in there" kitten poster except if kittens were getting arsenic poison and also tyrants
thank you, I am so glad to hear this, it makes me feel like my art has a passive AOE buff outside of its life on the regularly ordered dashboard
#I am also sure some of it has a passive aoe debuff and am also glad about that#hang in there poster but it's just vetinari slowly dying from whatever newest assisination attack he's under#they print them in the AM Times whever a new murder plot comes out#very collectible

One of the most hilarious things to me about Trazyn is that he'll help or hinder anyone else in the galaxy depending on whether or not it'd be fun. He helped the Imperium try to hold a planet because he thought it'd be fun to play the dashing hero. He really is just "I do what I want".
He's existed for 65million years (unclear how long he's been awake for though), if he doesn't get regular enrichment he'll just die on the spot, it's medically necessary he's a menace
#he and Orikan are like those two 100yos at the retirement home who hate each other but if one was to die the other would perish a day after#they do both have their own obsessive hobbies but tbh nothing beats a good nemesis#necrons#warhammer 40k#trazyn the infinite

Based on Sonata Arctica’s White Pearl, Black Oceans
This is very different from the things I usually draw and I wasn’t sure whether it’s fine to actually go through with it, but I’ve been wanting to illustrate this song ever since I first heard it 12 years ago

I showed this to my mom who's a landscape architect and she got really mad at the initial design and said a regular architect must have made it.
General policy in park design is predicting desire paths (we call them elephant paths here) and designing with them in mind - making paths that are mostly the shortest connections from common entries (the crosswalk in this case) but also curve slightly, since people like to walk in curves.
They do sometimes design paths that are a bit less optimal, to make the walker travel through the park in a more interesting and enriching way. In that case they might dissuade additional desire paths with artificial hills or plants.

#I am a habitual grass walker I dishonor her every day#like me a diagonal#tho the cool big park she actually designed is very hard to not path walk cause theyre convinient and hilly#she learned from the worst (watching me cut directly thru mud cause it's faster)#you wouldnt believe the beef between different kinds of architects

Trazyn the Infinite, the galaxy's greatest troll, and one of the saddest skeletons out there. He's easily my favorite.
LOVE Trazyn, the only reason I hadn't drawn more Necrons is cause I was mostly reading them while travelling and couldn't

Hey I didn't know ya got into 40k! Hope you enjoy your time here, the Orks are a fantastic choice because they can very easily be both funny and horrifying based on perspective! But a good proper waaagh and a krumpin is always great.
I was slowly becoming aware of it cause a ttrpg club thing I'm in does mini painting nights and then a friend was like "Hey there's like a couple of books in canon that are legit very good and you'd like and also they're about terrible spiteful skeletons.", it's a slippery slope.
Also yea, Orks seem like absolutely the perfect balance of absurd fun, genuinely cool lore/aesthetics, existential dread and gory horror.
#Necrons also do that balance but with “”slightly“” different ratios lmao#ngl the general worldbuilding is very interesting to think about#feel like I'm getting into factions in the order of their in-universe age

Still thinking about this, like Necrons and Orks are the oldest of battle buddies, the OG OCs of cruel elder gods, galaxy's first minis, one cursed with immortal stagnation one with fleeting existence in nigh unrecognizable decline, they should hang out, they should have proper rivalries, they should play boardgames

idk if I'll finish this, but imagine
#what if I wrote this tho#ngl I would write it for the black library prompt thing if Biter or any other super taktikal minded Ork had a proper named mini#warhammer 40k#nemesor zahndrekh#vargard obyron#taktikus#necrons
