Uryu really didn't have any plushies that he was attached to. Orihime, of course, considered this a tragedy, as she still had her teddy bear from when she was young, but when they asked him about this, Uryu just sighed and sited Ryuken for the reasoning. Which, lead to no further discussion, of course, since they all really understood what that meant.

While Orhime was the most obvious about it, Ichigo and Chad also had their moment. While Orihime had her one that was important to her, Chad has a small collection of them, and Ichigo also had his own that was rather important to him. It was hidden on the top shelf of his closet, but his mother had made it, so of course it was important to him.

It felt... strange, to watch Uryu exist when he was little, with his blanket and whatever activity that Orihime had set up that time, but never with a plushie that he could call his own. It was obvious the want was there-They all knew Uryu's cues well at this point, since he would never tell him anything himself-but he never asked, not once.

So Ichigo decided... What the heck can it hurt?

And he started looking, but... nothing felt quite right.

Even when he was little, Uryu talked a lot about the Quincy. Usually in reference to his grandfather, and how dear he was to Uryu before his unfortunate death.

And there was nothing, nothing that Ichigo felt fit with something Uryu might like so...

Instead, he looked for something close, that he could... modify.

Ichigo was not a good sewer, alright, he'll admit that completely, but he had to try. It was for Uryu, after all, the little bug that never asked them for anything in a way that broke Ichigo's heart and made him want to break Ryuken's head on the concrete.

He had to try.

He managed to find... some sort of plush toy meant for a show he had never seen, but it was a humanoid figure in white, and that was enough for Ichigo. Thus he took it home, along with a few... testers, and started trying.

The first one died an unfortunate death that had Kon terrified that Ichigo planned to kill him. Ichigo told him that if he wanted to kill Kon, he would have a long time ago, and somehow that didn't make Kon feel a single bit better.

The second fared a bit better, but it still wasn't good.

The third, however, was exactly what Ichigo had been trying to do.

He had found a picture of Soken, hidden in some of Uryu's albums, and Ichigo had used that as a reference. It was of Uryu's grandfather in his Quincy uniform after all, and Ichigo managed to modify the character's outfit, slowly and painstakingly, with extra fabric stolen from Yuzu and Orihime, into that. The cape was the hardest part, since the plushie didn't originally have one, so Ichigo had to make it from scratch.

However, the plush didn't resemble Soken at all, so Ichigo decided that that was as far as the similarity to Soken that the plush would go. It wasn't meant to be Soken, just a Quincy, after all.

So he got to work on the bow. Another thing he had to make from scratch, and god was it hell.

He took the classic form, the one he had first seen Uryu with, since he really didn't think he could do much more difficult ones, like his Soul Society or Hueco Mundo variants. It was... exhausting, to say the least.

There were hundreds of failures around him by the time he got the one he wanted, and when he finally attached it to the little Quincy's palm, he looked down at his creation, frowning, but figured... Well, it's the thought that counts right? He tried, and Uryu could fix it when he was big if the shoddy sewing bothered him too much.

So Ichigo packed it in his back the next time that they had planned a regression session for him, and took it to them.

Everyone else was already there when he got there, but that was normal. He usually ran a bit late.

Uryu looked up at him from his coloring page, covered in various shades of blue carefully picked from the collection of markers, colored pencils, and crayons around him, and grinned around his paci. "Ichi!"

"Hey bug." He grinned, moving over and setting his bag down onto his lap as he sat down near him. "I've got something for you." It got a look from Orihime, and Ichigo just smiled at her. Chad was up in the kitchen, and glanced over for a moment, before going back to listen to the exchange.

Uryu's curiosity was peaked, and he shifted, half moving over like he was gonna crawl up into Ichigo's lap to figure out what it was. "Present?"

"Mhm." And carefully, he pulled out the modified plushie, holding it up for Uryu's inspection. Uryu's eyes widened slightly, and carefully he reached out for it, hands shaking as he took it so gently from Ichigo's hand. "Figured it was about time for you to have a plushie for your own."

Uryu stared down at the little Quincy plush in his hands, tracing along the stitching that Ichigo had done, looking up at him with wide eyes, before reaching over and pushing Ichigo's bag from his lap and taking it's place, curling up in his lap, laying his head on Ichigo's shoulder.

Ichigo laughed softly, wrapping his arm around Uryu's back to support him as he curled up around the little plush, staring back down at it with wide eyes, as if he expected it to disappear at any second.

The 'thank you' was mumbled moments later, barely audible through the paci and the shock, but Ichigo just laughed, kissing the top of Uryu's head and shrugging.

"Not a problem, bug."

Uryu didn't let go of that plush for the rest of the night.

I've been thinking about Regressors!Laios and Falin and how they are menaces not only to society but to their group

See Marcille is all over Falin because like she's adorable you know, but you can't separate the siblings. You absolutely cannot.

Marcille cooing over Falin while Laios jumps in between them like look at this bug I found :D and of course Falin is also all over it and Marcille is like that's so cool! (She wants to go back to cooing over Falin LOL)

But its not like Marcille doesn't coo over Laios too, she loves watching when he's in his zone coloring/drawing or maybe he's reading up on something and now he's rushing over to Marcille to show her

These two absolutely bother Chilchuck whenever they can, they'll follow him around like puppies and just kinda watch what he's doing and yeah he's used to it from having his own kids, but also these specific kids just can't keep their hands to themselves

"No Laios don't touch that- Falin NO put that down- Laios wait- Falin-" He can't keep up (he's too old)

But he's also the best at entertaining them, like he's good with coming up with silly little games on the spot and he knows how to discipline them, even if it doesn't work half the time

Also he's got built in fatherly instincts, as much as he'll act annoyed, the second either one of them is hurt or upset he's by their side immediately, checking in and asking what's wrong, and he can be so gentle when wiping down cuts or wiping away tears with his thumb

"Hey now, what's all these tears for? You're okay, I've got you," his is dad, he is father, I love him

He can't pick them up but he's a great cuddle buddy to drag into your lap, as much as it sorta ticks him off because he's used to his kids who are shorter than him LOL but it's okay, he won't say anything and he's happy enough seeing them smile

And Senshi dotes over them so much, making sure they're well fed and doing okay and not harmed, all that

But also enables their curiousity and sometimes their bad behavior

Like if they both disappear and are just wandering while Marcille and Chilchuck are freaking out because they didn't say anything, he's thankfully with them and watching them try to catch a cool bug or flipping rocks or making mud pies, though he also didn't say anything so poor Marcille and Chilchuck

Also Chilchuck is a great cuddle buddy but Senshi hands down is the best cuddle buddy, when they're resting or going to sleep, they're often curled up by his side and he's got a strong grip around the both of them, comforting and secure

Also he's the only one in the ground who can pick them up so sometimes you'll catch him cooking with one of them held at his hip or he's running around with one of them on his shoulders
