this is a repost of my previous post because having photos of ammar made tumblr immediately flag it as mature content

it costs $5200 total - we were able to pay off the initial $3000 deposit, but not the $2200 afterwards

she was able to negotiate with the merchant into paying in installments - however, instead of $500 installments, he has demanded $800 installments, as well as we pay him the first installment immediately, which we have managed to do with help from a generous friend

with commission fees now 25%, this means we need $1000 every week 3 times - this is $1050 after ko-fi's fees as well

then we will need one last installment of $200 turned $500, which with commission fees will be $670 and then with ko-fi's fee of $34 will be $704

we tried to negotiate the installments to be every week, but he has demanded we pay him every five days

the doctor had advised that ammar needs special care even outside of the hospital to make sure he is in stable condition ammar has severely deteriorated from his heart condition not being seen to as well as conditions in gaza

this is why he also badly needs a medical tent, which will shelter him from the outside as it has a floor of its own and sturdier walls than most tents

we also still need ammar's weekly medication, which helps to keep his condition stable and is required to maintain his health. even one day delay makes him incredibly ill

this costs $500, but unfortunately there are the 25% fees - in addition, the pharmacist has now requested she pay half her money in physical cash, so now 35% fees will need to be additionally added on to half of this amount

half of $500 is $250 - 35% fees makes it $588. 25% fees then make it $783. with ko-fi's 5% fees, this means we need to raise $822 for it

The world may see a loaf of bread as a commodity, aid, or a number in a report.

But here in #Gaza, a father sees a small victory over death, a mother sees the warmth of a table that has lost almost everything, and a family sees a fragile roof over a house with no walls.

Each loaf a child eats here is praised a hundred times over, because reaching it feels like surviving certain death, like pulling a life from under the rubble, like beating the flames of bombing and starvation for one more night.

This is the reality for my family, trying to survive one day at a time, one loaf at a time, one dream at a time, amid a siege, destruction, and a long, merciless war.

I have nothing to offer but this plea from the heart — for those who still value humanity, for those who can help.

After seeing that “saying you don’t want to associate with people who create pornography of child characters is fascism” reply on my post and getting that “attributing (sentimental/cultural) value to human remains is fascism” reply to my post, I’m beginning to suspect ‘fascism’ is the new trendy fancy fad word for weaponized use by people who were born without brains and the ability to comprehend words. We have an actual fascism problem in this world, a major one, and it is not people online saying “I do not want to befriend people who create South Park porn” and “do not take a random human jawbone you just found home with you”. Those are two of the mildest takes I could possibly make.

As you all know I'm a good friend of Mohammad Ayesh ( @moayeshblog ) and I've seen him work tireless to help others at the expense of helping himself and his own interests. From his work with @gaza-evacuation-funds and @ihyaafoundation. And I'd like to advocate for his own fundraiser right now.

The living situation in Gaza is catastrophic and he is no exception. He is still a very young man but he's shouldering the huge responsibility of his family, by going out every single day to find what little food is even available in Gaza to provide for his family. Only 1 kilo of flour is 30 dollars. That's just enough to make around 12 small loaves of bread. And this needs to feed 8 people for a whole day. And that's just a small glimpse of the daily life that Mohammad is living with his whole family.
