In Fonfuka, residents are celebrating the completion of two major bridges over the Mbuk and Nguma rivers, notorious for their danger and the obstacles they've posed to development.

On May 18, 2024, the bridges were inaugurated by the Divisional Officer for Bum Subdivision, Ngang Tumasang, alongside Mayor Gwei Philip and Senator John Wanlo.

The training session, which took place  Bamenda, focused on equipping participants with the skills to use KoBo Toolbox for effective data collection and beneficiary targeting.

According to Winnie Carine Taminang, the turning point came during the COVID-19 pandemic. With the world in lockdown and time for reflection, Winnie's interest in skincare deepened. 

"The idea of studying skincare extensively and creating natural products for all skin types took root. The pandemic gave me the time and space to really think about my future and what I wanted to achieve," she explained.

One of the driving motivations behind CAVP's decision to assist this particular association was the lack of accommodation for women and girls with hearing impairments at government-owned empowerment centers in Bamenda.

Ndi underscored the significance of inclusivity and applauded the Association of Women and Girls with Disabilities for their perseverance in establishing a small office space to facilitate their activities.
