What is RankBrain?
The Rank Brain is an artificial intelligence system that has been working for Google for some time and which is starting to make use of its search results. This system is a before and after regarding the algorithms used by Google when providing greater or less visibility to a domain. But what does RankBrain consist of?
The Rank Brain is a machine learning system that is being used to help interpret and process the search results. This system has a very important factor that is the learning, and therefore, this is a big change in the way of classifying the results.
In 2013, Google carried out the update of Hummingbird, which meant a great change in its parameters, giving greater importance to the context of the search and the user’s intention. From here, we wanted to make a qualitative leap through RankBrain and the great commitment to the machine learning system.
This learning system is not something new in Google, because when the Panda update was launched in 2011, it was already used. Through Panda, we tried to detect, through interactions, whether the websites were quality or not. Through the interactions, the learning process was assigned to the machine, optimizing the algorithm and perfecting it.
According to Greg Corrado, one of the participating scientists in the development of this new system, Rank Brian not only has automatic learning but also learning will be much deeper. The system can relate concepts that are ambiguous.
If people use ambiguous or colloquial terms in their search, RankBrain can give the answers that users are looking for. The system is learning with the answers and therefore more and more refines with the search results. If there are still more difficult queries, the system is progressing and will be able to give complex answers again. RankBrain will come to understand phrases and not each one of the words that compose it.
The RankBrain technology is already being used in at least 15% of the queries that are made in Google, so SEO professionals have to be very up-to-date to prevent this new system from affecting organic positioning as little as possible.
How will RankBrain Affect SEO?
Greg Corrado already mentioned that in the few months when the RankBrain system was being used, it has become the third most important tool when determining the results of the search engine. Therefore, we can foresee that as RankBrain evolves, it will have a huge weight on the results.
All SEO strategies have started with the study of keywords, defining which keyword is the one we want to promote and position. The keyword research is the basis of any strategy, and it is these keywords that will mark our next steps in SEO planning. Also, thanks to tools such as Google Trends, we can check trends in the search for words, and see how they evolve.
With the implementation of this system and with the algorithm constantly learning it is logical that the trends of the keywords change very quickly, which will make some SEO workers go crazy. Therefore, the strategies should not be so rigid regarding the positioning of a specific keyword, but rather that we should be more flexible and open to possible changes.

Advantages Of Doing Content Marketing
In addition to the main benefit of increasing your traffic and, with it, the number of customers, there are several other advantages to start doing Content Marketing. We decided to address 5 of these advantages so you can understand how important it is to use this strategy in your business.
Recognition as the reference in a matter
If you start writing quality content on the topics related to your niche and start publishing them, as readers see the material you have been creating, it is natural that they go on to recognize the author as a reference in that topic. Authority and credibility take time to be built and are crucial factors when a buyer decides whether he will make the purchase of your product, or if he looks for what he needs elsewhere. At this point, content marketing becomes even more advantageous as a promotion strategy.
Nutrition of leads
Have you ever heard about lead nutrition? This is a way to maintain a relationship with you and your potential customers until they feel ready to purchase on your site. Nourish leads is to send relevant content to the stage of the shopping funnel that the person is so that she can perceive that your product/service is the best to solve their problems. This strategy is straightforward with emails, but you can also nourish leads with Content Marketing. Every time you write a post on your blog, people come to know more about you and your business. The relationship is virtuous: on the one hand, you deliver content of value, on the other, they find value in what you are offering. But be careful: do not transform the Content Marketing into a constant offer of your products or services. It offers valuable information that can provide new information to the readers of your texts.
Interaction with your audience
Content Marketing is a fantastic way to maintain communication between your brand and your potential customers, especially if you have a blog with constant publications. Because your blog is a channel that users can use to send comments of what they like or not, suggestions on what they want to know more, share your post with other people (which helps increase your blog traffic and, subsequently, on your site), among other types of interaction.
The main thing is that you are always attentive to the comments made in your posts to be able to answer them always. This shows how you strive to maintain a good relationship with whoever searches for your content.
Reduction of the CAC
CAC (cost of customer acquisition) is the metric that lets you know how much your company spends with each new customer generated by your marketing strategy.
If your CAC (cost of customer acquisition) is high, it means that you are spending a lot to increase traffic. So, it is a big advantage to invest in Content Marketing, as this will help bring new potential customers to your page organically.
The critical thing about this strategy is that you can apply SEO techniques well to classify your posts and that users can quickly reach them.
Education of your audience
The more you invest in Content Marketing, the more you can deliver content that shows people what solutions your product or service brings. That improves the user experience with your business and also educates your audience, who will better understand the problems they face and will know where to find the solutions.
The more people understand the topics you address in your posts, the more engaged they are to want to learn what you teach.

How To Increase The Traffic Of Your Page With Videos?
The second format we will talk about in this post is that of the videos. They are also great for generating traffic, and all you need is a YouTube channel, for example, to publish them. And there are also other ways to generate revenue with videos in addition to YouTube.
This format is prevalent mainly because it is an easy way to consume. All the user needs to do is watch a video on a screen, be it a cell phone, tablet, computer or another device that has Internet access.
Some Tips For Recording Videos:
Create a script with all the knowledge you will put on your video. This will make it easier for you to remember everything the material needs to contain. To learn how to create a quality script, read our guide how to make a script for video classes.
Engage the viewer in the first seconds of the video. The biggest challenge of this format is to get people interested from the beginning so that they do not stop seeing it before it ends. Therefore, it shows in the first seconds of what you will talk about and how it may be useful for the viewer.
Be as clear as possible while you are talking and conversing with your audience. Establish a dialogue, because although people cannot respond while you are recording, they will feel comfortable leaving doubts and suggestions in the comments.
Invest in a good film crew. In the beginning, it is possible to record with the mobile phone, but it is essential to think about investing in right equipment so that the quality of the videos is the best possible.
Make a right edition of your video. The more complete and well produced it is, the more it will keep the attention of visitors to your channel.
In addition to these tips, there are individual others that can also help you create a good video.

How To Increase The Traffic Of Your Page With Blog?
Having a blog is one of the fastest ways to start implementing your strategy to generate traffic organically. In truth, all you need is to have a specific niche to act and write about the issues that can attract the attention of people who are looking for the issues you are going to address.
Some people are afraid to start a blog because they do not think they can write well. But the more you write, the much your texts will be. Also, you also have the possibility of hiring a professional freelancer.
The secret here is just to start. And to help you a little more, we’ll show you what you have to focus on:
Understand what your audience’s interests are and write texts about that. It does not help to talk about what you think is essential; you have to understand the needs of the people who read your blog.
Create a beautiful title, but not sensationalist, because in this last situation, or in case of one that does not show the content that will be in the post, you can compromise your credibility.
Focus on producing a quality text, well written and with a content that adds value to the reader. Do not try to “push” a product or promote yourself in the text. Provide the best possible content and conquer the reader.
Write something that is worth writing. A text with interesting information can generate thousands of times more traffic than several posts with poor content.
Write between 1,000 and 1,500 words. Tiny texts may seem superficial.
Check the text always. And when we talk about revision, it is not only the grammatical part (which must be reviewed carefully, because despite being a text on the Internet, it is essential to write well) but also the content review.
Whenever necessary, update your old and most read posts so that they are well completed.
Create easily assimilated texts. Think about the scanability of your post, that is, show the reader what your text is about without needing to read it all at once. It is possible that the user only takes a look at it and already understands what it is talking about. To do this, use intertitles and listed topics.
Avoid very long fragments, so that the text is not tiring. Whenever possible, it “breaks” long sentences, but without interfering in the coherence and cohesion of the information.
Illustrate the post with images that are attractive and, at the same time, represent the content of the text.
Give the kickoff to the promotion of your article. Share it with your audience on social networks and ask your friends to do the same.

How to increase the traffic of your page with Content Marketing?
Do you know what Content Marketing is and how to generate traffic to that strategy? Read this post and find out!
Any business on the Internet needs traffic, be it a company that sells its services online, a blog that generates money with the Affiliate program or a common e-commerce site, for example.
There are several strategies to generate traffic to promote your products or services. These strategies can be focused on two types of traffic:
Paid Traffic
Free / Organic Traffic
Both have their application and bring results, but each one has unique characteristics.
With paid traffic it is possible to get visits in the short term, almost immediately, using PPC programs (pay per click) or buying banners in sites with a large number of visits.
However, unless you have a machine to make money, you should exactly measure the return on investment in the purchased advertising and, even optimizing this ROI to the maximum, you will still have limitations on how much you can invest in paid traffic.
On the other side is the free traffic.
Every Internet entrepreneur dreams of this kind of traffic because it is about the exposure of their products and services without any advertising cost. In other words, be able to generate sales with much less cost.
But then, how to get organic traffic?
There are several ways to get that type of traffic, but all point to a central pillar, which is essential to obtain good results with traffic.
This pillar is called “quality content.”
If you do not produce quality content, you will not be able to generate free traffic or, if you get it, you will have mediocre results and bad traffic (yes, there is bad traffic!).
How to do Content Marketing?
As you can perceive, Content Marketing is a fundamental strategy for those who want to generate more traffic organically.
If you are a digital entrepreneur and still do not use this strategy, you must start right now.
Thinking of helping you to take the initial steps or even continue and improve your organic strategies, we have brought some tips for you.
There are several ways to create Content Marketing, such as email marketing, rich materials, newsletter, but we decided to focus on three very common formats and in the end, we will show the tips that apply to all of them.

8 Simple Ways to Use a Blog to Improve SEO Results
Apparently, all companies have a blog these days. Unfortunately, very few organizations make the most of their blog content to maximize SEO results. Here are eight simple ways in which a blog can improve the visibility, traffic and organic results of your website.
1. Create A Compelling Name For Your Blog
It bothers me when I go to an organization’s site, and the name of the blog is … “Blog”! I ask advertisers to be inventive and more distinct by naming the blog section of a website. The name of your blog is also an opportunity for optimization. Ask yourself these questions:
What is the general point of the blog?
What would be a compelling description of my business?
Can I include important SEO keywords in the title or name of the blog?
Specifically, who am I trying to reach?
Creating a descriptive name and optimizing a topic can generate incremental organic traffic. For example, office supply retailer Staples has its “Staples Business Advantage blog,” which addresses issues ranging from office productivity to workplace safety. And Berghoff Brewery has its “Berghoff Beer Blog,” which covers topics from beer festivals to food pairings and seasonal beer reviews.
Remember, if you find it challenging to create a name for your blog that includes keywords that you are trying to target, try to include at least those keywords within the title of the blog page.
2. Reach a specific audience with each publication
I recommend that each blog post is written for a particular segment of your target audience. This allows marketers to create optimized content for particular clients and contains target keywords related to particular needs and resolutions.
For example, if you sell marketing services, you can include a blog post about a hot topic in the industry (for example, ABM marketing) targeted to a particular audience that you are trying to capture (for example, B2B marketers).
3. Implement an effective URL structure
A useful URL naming convention is useful for website marketers and visitors for several reasons:
Makes results reports easy
I’ve noticed that some corporations do not include “/ blog /” in their URL syntax when maintaining the blog in their main domain of the website. This can make it a little harder to track the overall progress of the blog within the analyzes. I recommend that you include / blog / in your URL structure to improve the ease of reporting of blog results.
Can guarantee user-friendly URLs
When it comes to creating URLs for each publication, many advertisers include each word in the publication’s title in the URL. This can lead to long URLs that are difficult to read. Suggestion: try to make the URL of your blog descriptive, but also brief and relevant. Remember to omit conjunctions such as “and”, “but” and “or” within their URLs. For example:
Largest and unfriendly URL for the user:
http://bit.ly/2Hgprar
Shortest and optimized URL:
http://bit.ly/2Fxhu3y
4. Continuously optimizes blog content
Reusing isn’t useful for the earth; It is additionally useful for SEO!
SEO improvements don’t require new site content. Search for extra chances to advance existing blog entries. Survey the current content and identify opportunities for additional SEO on the page. Here are some conceivable optimization strategies for existing blog content:
Add interior connects to other major pages on the site.
Include streamlined pictures (or improve existing pictures).
Link a publication to a related one.
Review the title tags and meta descriptions to ensure that specific keywords are included.
Leveraging existing blog content can save valuable time and resources.
5. Find and complete content gaps
Blogs can be a quick and easy way to create content specifically designed to fill in the gaps of SEO.
Are there high priority SEO phrases that you are struggling to classify for? Does your website have no content related to these words? If so, these topics are good candidates for new posts on the blog.
6. Add optimized images and videos
The images help create a positive experience and can increase the participation of visitors. They also provide incremental SEO value. Remember to include pictures in your blog post and optimize them with descriptive Alt tags (including high priority keyword phrases, as applicable).
Lights Camera action! Blog posts also provide an excellent home for video content. Check your YouTube page. Do you already have video content that could improve a blog post? The videos keep users interested and allow marketers to provide additional educational opportunities.
7. Mark it
Let’s not forget about the marking of structured data. The showing of structured data can be added to your HTML to provide information about a page, classify the content of the page and, in some cases, improve the way your page is represented in the SERP.
I recommend that you include schema marking in your publication to make sure that this content is fully optimized.
8. Take advantage of the shared use of social networks
There are many benefits to sharing blog posts on social networks:
It maintains its current and relevant social networking sites.
Help keep your audience engaged.
Because social cues are involved in the ranking algorithm, it improves SEO results.
Social links help increase referral traffic.
I suggest that you always share the blog post on social sites. Try to share a couple of sentences that describe a summary of the publication or an extract from the publication. Remember to include the keywords you are targeting in social media publishing, as these social cues can help with rankings.
Summary
Make sure you are fully aware of the possible SEO benefits of your blog. Create a convincing blog name; create optimized content for specific audiences; optimize the URL of your blog; add images and videos; implement the scheme, and share blog content through social sites.
Keep in mind, a blog is one of the speediest and most effortless approaches to actualize or enhance site content and enhance SEO results.

What is the Google Pigeon update?
After the hummingbird and the panda ,the updates of Google’s algorithm-animalar continue, now with Google Pigeon (or dove in Spanish). (it’s not the name that Google has given it, but a name that American SEO has given it because a pigeon always comes back home …) has reached the end of July. It aims to end the controversy launched by Yelp, according to which Google privileged its content in its search engine. This update will modify the local searches: it should allow giving better answers to these types of queries, relying mainly on Google Maps. In short, it means that the local results will appear in first positions in the SERPs.
What will change?
The improvement of the parameters of a location of the companies: Google will use to the maximum the precise location of its society in its results.
The algorithm will improve the spelling, the Knowledge Graph and the interpretation of the synonyms.
Local directories will improve their positioning: Yelp, Trip Advisor, etc. The reason was the accusation (legitimate) of Yelp, which did not appear in the results even when the user typed “Yelp.”
What consequences will it bring?
The directories are the big beneficiaries of this update.
It is very likely that local companies notice some critical changes in their rankings.
What can you do?
First, make sure that your site appears in the most critical yearbooks (general or sectorial). Try, whenever possible, to get the maximum comments to enrich your pages.
It will be almost mandatory to have a responsive version of your web page.
On the off chance that your outcomes go down, optimize your back-joins and your pages by concentrating them on neighborhood seeks.
Make sure your data is the same in the directories where your page is registered so as not to give confusing locations information to Google bots.
This update acts for the moment only in the United States. Google has not given details about the international development of Pigeon. But we recommend you apply the tips of this post before the “back to school”.

How To Use Google Tag Manager To Show Customer Results
Is it true that you are burnt out on requesting that your web engineer include code, scraps, pixels or contents to your web page so you can track remarketing, changes, examination and the sky is the limit from there? Google Tag Manager (GTM) enables you to include or refresh labels without bothering your designer.
Google Tag Manager allows you to control how your tags are defined and how they are triggered. GTM involves a bit of a learning curve, but once you understand the basics, you will wonder how you ever got along without it. If you are a Professional Web Positioning SEO has not yet investigated tracking codes (I know you’re out there and is excellent!) Now it is the time to start.
The use of the tracking code will help you measure the results of your marketing campaigns; Essentially, you can show the results that your digital marketing efforts are doing at. And do not worry, you do not have to be a programmer to dig in. As an additional benefit, you can use GTM to manage your customers’ campaigns as well – all without having to enter the back of your websites.
Google Tag Manager is a big topic, so in this article, we’re just going to cover the basics.
What Is A Label?
A tag is a part of the code that tracks and sends information about your site’s activities to third parties (such as Google). You can use tags to track conversions or visits to a specific web page.
In the past, if you wanted to add tags to your site, you would have to manually add these fragments to the source code of your web pages. This frequently required experiencing an engineer, which could postpone execution for a considerable length of time or even weeks. What’s more, apparently, on the off chance that you expected to make alterations or updates to the labels, you (or a designer) would need to do it inside the source code of the page.
With Google Tag Manager, add a piece of unique container code to each page of your site. This container fragment manages the deployment and execution of all tags throughout the site. Just add, update and maintain the tags you want to use the Google Tag Manager interface.
Introduction to Google Tag Manager
To start using Google Tag Manager, visit the GTM login page. If you already have a Google Analytics account, it will be easy to configure: you will only have to log in to your Google account and be ready to configure your tags.
The first thing you should do is give your account a name. You will want to name your account with the name of your company so you can find and manage each of the websites you have in Google Tag Manager. In general, it is recommended to have one account per company and one container per site.
Once you have set up your account, you will create your first container. Give your container a name and indicate where you want to use the container: website, iOS, Android or AMP.
The Google Tag Manager snippet should be placed on every page of your website. Google warns you not to use the code in a hidden iframe and that you do not use another label management system while using GTM (it can cause problems).
Once you have added the GTM fragment code to your site, the Google Tag Manager will be ready.

SEO – Differences between Crawling and Indexing
This article is wholly oriented to organic positioning, but I have considered it essential to include it in the Adwords community because it is the fundamental principle of positioning and I think it is essential to understand these two concepts very well to get started in the world of online marketing.
Often these two concepts are confused, or even it is unknown that there are two concepts closely related to each other but that have notable differences.
Crawling
Definition of Google: ” Google uses software called” web crawler “to discover web pages in the public domain. The best-known tracker is “Googlebot”.
For more detailed information you can visit Google’s  crawling and indexing help.
“Googlebot” is dedicated to tracing billions of documents and websites throughout the network weaving a kind of spider. Therefore, this tracker must try to make it easy for it to track the largest number of pages of a website and This way you index them in the search engine. Something that is important for crawling is the link building strategy, both external and internal. However, many times the development of internal link building is overlooked, and we focus mainly on the links pointing to our page from another website. However, the internal link building is something that helps the tracker a lot to move from one page to another of a site and that way we get more pages tracked.
Indexing
Definition of Google: ” Google collects the pages during the crawling process and then creates an index, so we know exactly where we need to look.  “
That is, in this index of Google appear all the pages that have been tracked by Googlebot, yes, reach the top positions in the search results in those pages that Google considers that are better optimized and that provide a more relevant response to the user.
How do I know how many and which pages has Google indexed from my website?
If we have published our website recently, it is very likely that Webmaster Tools will not provide us with information, but that does not mean that Google has not indexed any of our pages, so another way to check it is by typing in the search site: example. com
The results that appear here means that they are already indexed, but you should not have any illusions, this does not say that they are well positioned, from here on you will have to “attack” the keywords for which we want to place ourselves.

SEO Trends for 2018
If you are thinking about positioning your web page, I will tell you some SEO trends for 2018 that will change the rules of the game a bit, if you keep them in mind, you will win. 2018 comes loaded with new Google algorithm updates, new technologies, new SEO techniques …!
The search for images and videos will be especially relevant.
The visual search is an exciting area and the combination of technological innovation, and user experience can take the search to the next level, undoubtedly one of the SEO trends for 2018 for which I bet more.
Do not hesitate to invest in this aspect especially if you manage e-commerce, a small photo studio and a good photography course can do wonders. In our case, we always use a professional in the sector to guarantee success.
As the Internet focuses more visually, there is an excellent opportunity to explore the power of visual search. The primary technology companies, including Bing, Pinterest and Google, have already invested in the development of robust optical search engines in an attempt to capitalise on this new trend.
An SEO strategy in 2018 needs to consider the way we consume visual content and how search engines now go beyond the text to explore the changing habits of the search. The rich images now become more attractive, and the use of neuroscience and innovation reveal an exciting and competitive market.
As competition increases, more companies seem to recognise the potential of a successful visual search, while brands need to focus even more on optimising their visual content for SEO purposes.
Structured data.
Structured data is a form of HTML formatting that uses a specific vocabulary, indicating to the search engines how to interpret the content and how to display it in the SERPs.
Google has never officially confirmed that structured information is a positioning factor, and in itself, it probably is not.
Why bother then?
Structured data allows you to improve your search lists in several ways: Knowledge Graph panels and rich snippets. The latter can increase the CTR of your ads (click through rate) by 30 percent. Multiple experiments in real environment show that an increase in clicks improve rankings.
With the search results more and more diverse, you can not ignore the opportunity to stand out and make you see. In fact, you’d better do it now, before a competitor gets the batteries.
What can you do about it?
Get to work today. There are several structured data formats, but most SEOs fit Schema.org. This Schema step-by-step guide for SEO is an excellent place to start.
The voice search will be increased thanks to the digital assistants.
Voice search technology presents an excellent opportunity to change the way we communicate and process information. The rise of digital assistants has introduced a growing market that can change the way search queries are conducted. According to Google, 1 in 5 searches already come from voice queries.
This changes the search market and we expect to see an even more significant shift towards voice search in 2018. When it comes to establishing an SEO strategy, the increase in voice search highlights the need to focus on more long search keywords. tail, and a natural language that matches the user’s conversational tone.
As the accuracy of digital assistants improves, there will be more people who will use voice search on their mobile devices, looking for quick and relevant answers.
Also, voice search is expected to grow even more with its integration into digital assistants, helping companies access new data, while users enjoy a fluid experience through everyday devices. As digital assistants go beyond smart devices, there is an excellent opportunity for both SEO and content, taking advantage of a growing market that connects the brand with a user in a unique but still relevant and useful way.
Start thinking beyond Google.
There is life beyond Google, we must think for example on YouTube, it is the second search engine with the most traffic behind Google, YouTube channels are an excellent source of traffic.
SEO in this medium is still to be developed, we have a great opportunity to position ourselves in this search engine and gain a lot of traffic.
Link building.
There is nothing sadder than people who spend days and weeks writing about something and then … nothing. All that passion and knowledge for nothing. Excellent and unnoticed items are something that happens every day.
The problems can be several. Usually, people make a mistake with the choice of subject. It does not matter how good your article is if nobody cares about that topic. The opposite can also happen; exciting topic, but weak content!
You can read hundreds of articles and see dozens of videos about good content, but there is always a sure way: learn from others.
If you want your website to have a good ranking and no penalties, it is not enough to create new links. You must take care of your linked profile and disallow all spam links.
In November of 2017, John Mueller of Google confirmed that making proactive denials is a good idea if you want to avoid a penalty from Google.
So, in particular, if someone is hitting links on a spam site, or maybe a previous SEO rank a script to put links on a lot of forums, and they can not be cleaned for some reason, but you want to make sure that they do not go so far, then the file of disavowal is a great way to say preventively, that you know these problems.
User Experience.
Part of Google’s philosophy has always been concentrated on offering the best user experience. With recent technological advances, Google and other search engines are now in a better position than ever to offer this vision. This approach will intensify in 2018.
However, for many teams and agencies, UX has not always been part of the SEO toolset. Whether or not an SEO professional can discuss UX or make meaningful UX recommendations depends a lot on personal experience, background and professional development programs.
As an industry, we need to reimagine the SEO and skills necessary to succeed as we move immediately into an age of search engine ranking technology that is becoming more opaque, dominated by machine learning and better than ever to interpret the behavior of the consumer.
If SEO cannot influence (or be a central part of) the UX approach to brands, then one of the primary and future-oriented SEO performance levers will be beyond our control. If you are not yet, UX should be a high priority in your learning and development program.
Mobile-first index.
With the increase in voice search, more than half of Google searches from mobile devices, the next mobile-first index and the ease of mobile users are a classification factor, you can not just afford to ignore mobile SEO. Plus.
There have been many changes in the search algorithm on mobile devices, and this year will not be left behind, there will be changes that will mark a before and after in the web world, where we will have to consider important changes in our websites and online stores.
2018 is more than likely to be the year in which brands realise the potential to put their mobile first, instead of leaving mobile devices in the background about searches. This is particularly true if Google decides to do 2018 the year it finally deploys its first mobile device index.
But even if not, brands and companies must give priority to mobile: a recent study by BrightEdge found that 57% of web traffic comes from mobile devices. In fact, there is a significant difference between the way that keywords are classified on mobile devices and the way they rank on the desktop, so you need content first to have the best chance of being visible in mobile search.
What can you do about it?
First, check if your pages are friendly for mobile devices. The Google mobile test is available in WebSite Auditor, in Content Analysis.
Load speed.
In an increasingly accelerated society, people want things, including information, immediately.
Nothing is more frustrating than clicking on a website and having to wait for the page to load several seconds. If the page does not load in 5 seconds, you go to another site that with luck can give you the answers you need.
People do not like slow web pages. If your page is slow, the traffic on your site will suffer. Page speed is a user experience function that is expected for all websites.
If you’re wondering how fast it is fast enough, follow Google’s recommendation of 3 seconds or less.
To know what is the loading speed of your website, you can visit Google PageSpeed (I personally like it better)
Speed has been a critical component for years, but by 2018, we will see even more emphasis on this factor.

Negative SEO: 6 tips to protect your website
The negative SEO is real. It is probable to damage a website through the use of malicious links. This type of attack poses a legitimate danger that can result in the loss of visibility in organic search and income. However, it is possible to defend against negative SEO.
But What Is Negative SEO?
Negative SEO involves the application of Black Hat SEO techniques on another website. In general, an attack of this type is unleashed by a dissatisfied competitor with the objective of reducing the position in the ranking of that site.
You will often post content on your website, promote that content on social networks and deal with each update of the Google algorithm.
However, sometimes you can find competitors who do not play fair and could try to bog down your website with spam links, flood social networks with fake comments or simply hack your website.
If you think you may have been the victim of an attack of this type, or just want to protect yourself against a potential attack, here are 6 tips that you can apply to protect your website from negative SEO.
Conduct Periodic Link Audits Regularly perform link audits a good practice for any business, which will help you detect if you are the victim of one of these attacks. The supervision of your link profile is without a doubt the best way to identify suspicious activities before it goes out of control. If you suddenly notice a large increase in external links pointing to your website and you have not been working on the link building, you should remain attentive, as it is a clear sign that you may be doing negative SEO. Your link profile could also be damaged if your website has been hacked, as it is possible that the attacker has altered the content of your page to include spam links or modify your links to redirect them to the attacker’s websites. These attacks can be difficult to detect, and the only way to protect your website is to carry out periodic link audits. It is essential that you control the growth of your link profile and perform an audit to know the health of your links. And if you are the victim of an attack of spam links, inform Google about it and disavow the links as soon as possible.
Stay Tuned For The Speed Of Your Site The speed of the site is a key factor in the classification. If your site starts to slow down and you do not know why you should use tracking software to look for something suspicious. If after this, you have not found anything and the problem continues, you may be a victim of forced tracking. The forced tracking causes heavy server load, which means that your site will be slower. If you think you are being required to crawl, you should contact your web hosting company or webmaster to try to determine where the problem is coming off.
Search For Scraped Content The content marketing has played a major role in recent years, particularly in agency SEO, in any case, not every person is similarly inventive with regards to content creation. Like this, scratching has frequently been utilized. Scraping is the process of obtaining content for your website, copying word by word to other sites. In general, the attacker will claim the content as his or her own, in an attempt to reinforce its thin content, sometimes it can even be combined with an attack of spam links to your website. Scraping content has serious consequences. If the copied content is indexed before yours, despite being yours the original, your website could be penalized by duplicate content. Using tools like Copyscape you can discover if someone has been plagiarizing your content. If so, you can ask the webmaster to remove the content; if you refuse, or do not respond, you can inform Google through this form.
Monitor Google My Business If you’ve worked hard to build a good brand reputation and win more customers, the negative comments hurt. However, you can use them as an experience to improve learning. But what about an attack of negative comments? A lot of negative reviews could be a sign that someone is trying to harm your website with false comments. So, if you do not act quickly, this can seriously damage your reputation. Stay tuned to your Google My Business profile and your online reputation, using social media listening software.
See the CTR of your keywords It consists of, using a robot, sending traffic to a specific keyword so that a rebound occurs immediately and this has a negative user experience effect for Google. It is a difficult attack to detect if you are not monitoring the CTR of your keywords. Go to Google Search Console, click on ” Search traffic “> ” Search analysis ”  and look at your CTR through all the keywords. If you notice any major spikes, contact Google and start disavowing offensive links.
Update Your Security Negative SEO may not be so familiar. However, cyber attacks are on the rise year after year. Make certain your software is up to date and apply all security patches. You can also migrate your site to HTTPS, especially for electronic stores or sensitive data storage. HTTPS encryption not only offers greater security, but it is also a signal of classification and could improve your SEO in general.

Differences Between White Hat, Gray Hat And Black Hat SEO
As most of you know, SEO – from English ‘Search Engine Optimization’ – is the process aimed at improving the visibility of a website in different search engines (such as Google, Yahoo, Bing …). The SEO activity is vital because the more positioning a website gets in the search results, the more visits it will get from the different users that use these search engines. However, no matter how powerful our online business, a strategy cannot and should not be based only on SEO, but must include other marketing techniques, such as advertising or social networks. And, for those that the SEO catches a little clueless, we can say that there are three different ways of doing SEO: White hat, Gray hat, and Back hat SEO.
What is White Hat SEO?
The White Hat SEO are the techniques of web positioning that are used to carry out the optimization as the search engine, in this case, Google establishes in its Guidelines. That is, no type of trickery is made and optimized so that the website is positioned “legally” in the search results. This is the only SEO technique that is free of penalties from Google. We can say that, through White Hat SEO, the results are obtained in the medium and long-term. Besides, not all techniques always work the same and positioning will depend a lot on the market niche or if the competition in the area is very high. Most White Hat practices seek to improve the user experience to achieve better positioning in the search engine but, for that, We must have a lot of patience and continuously work in the optimization of our website. Among the strategies of White Hat SEO are:
On-page optimization: optimize each of the pages and subpages correctly using appropriate keywords and always with sense, without over-optimizing.
Quality content: the best thing is to create quality content to attract a greater number of links to your website. Do not forget that the content must be of interest to your audiences and be related to your niche market.
Social networks and YouTube: they are a good source of alternative traffic to the traditional search engine and can be useful to publicize your content and get more links to your website.
Blogs: where the content of your web page is related to another related that may also interest your audience.
What is Gray Hat SEO?
Gray Hat SEO uses techniques that, while not punished by Google’s rules, are not well-regarded; so primarily it falls into a legal vacuum where Google cannot prove that what you’re doing is illegal even if you do not like it and cannot be penalized for it. Within these techniques is, for example, the purchase of links: recommendations from other websites through a link should arise “naturally” according to the Google Guidelines, and the acquisition of content (logically) is not natural. If you do it carefully, Google will not know if those links are natural or purchased and, therefore, can not penalize you.
What is Black Hat SEO?
Finally, there is Black Hat SEO, SEO experts who declare war on Google by skipping the Guidelines and making as many traps as possible. The purpose of Black Hat SEO is to position itself better than the competition at any price and as quickly as possible (although this will entail subsequent penalties by Google). These techniques can give good results in the short and medium term making the domain soon position itself in the top of the search results before Google can act against you, but rest assured that the penalty will come. Among the many Black Hat SEO strategies that there are -some of them have fallen into oblivion- among the most used are:
Keyword Stuffing: overoptimization of keywords.
Over-optimization On-page: All kinds of techniques to over-optimize content.
Cloaking: The website has an illegal or unethical content, but we do not tell Google. For example, what may seem like an innocent page for children’s games ends up being pornography or gambling games.
Spin articles: articles are copied and published on other sites to improve positioning, making the search engine believe that this is the original content.
Spam: Comments on external blogs putting links to our website. It is a technique that bothers colleagues in the guild, and that is not usually very successful.

Google Hummingbird Is Here, Are You Ready?
Since a little more than a day ago, the internet is a tsunami of information; Google has once again made its own. You have made the complete change to your algorithm since 2010: Google Hummingbird is now a reality. Are you ready? Let’s face it.
A New Change In The Google Algorithm?
Indeed, yesterday September 26 Google announced the last and most drastic change in the algorithm during the celebration of the event that took place in the garage where Larry and Sergey 15 years ago founded the company.
According to Google, Hummingbird has been running for a month without us knowing. However, it was yesterday when its launch was officially confirmed.
One of the essential things to note is that according to some statements by company executives, such as Amit Singhal, ” the introduction of Hummingbird (also known as Hummingbird) is the most drastic change in the algorithm since Caffeine in 2010. “
The reason is that the beautiful little bird comes to represent a total change of the algorithm and not a modification as if it happened with the case of Google Panda or Google Penguin. In this way the example that the executives cited was that you imagined an engine, well, the panda and the penguin would be like adding filters and improvements to the said engine, but with Hummingbird, the engine is completely changed to a newer one. Brutal.
Do I have to worry about my blog with the new algorithm?
Here comes the good news. Not at the beginning. While it is true that drops still count the information of the new animal from the Google Zoo, and we will even have to wait, but at first it is assumed that Google Hummingbird should not be aggressive (as if it happened with the Panda and the Penguin ).
In this way, in theory, if you had to worry before you should not worry now either. Let’s rescue some of the text words of Google managers to be calmer:
What Is Google Colibri?
Now the new algorithm will be more oriented to give more importance to the more complex searches than to the typical lifelong quests based only on keywords.
But what do we mean by “more complex searches”? No more, no less, to all those types of searches that are similar to human conversations. (Quiet that through the examples you will understand correctly
Tumblr media
Let’s go slowly. In recent years, there has been an increasingly curious search trend among users: we treat the search engine as if it were a person, and in this way, we ask direct questions.
The algorithm has evolved in this line. Let’s see some examples:
That is to say, it is not based so much on keywords but the whole of the meaning of the sentence and relies on its technology to know our location and in this way to report more accurate results.
We can also say: “show me photos of the Giralda under construction”, and it will do the same. Since Hummingbird Google becomes more human and intelligent than ever.
The new flying bird (penguins do not fly … is that right?) Is nothing more than the algorithmization of the new and growing search trend in which people increasingly see Google as an all-powerful being, to the point of attributing it to him human conditions.

Penguin 4.0 Has Arrived: Keys To Understanding The Update Of The Google Algorithm In Real Time
When the summer was coming to an end, Google Penguin 4.0 poked its head saying aloud: I’m here! The community of SEOs and Webmasters began to notice how nerves were taking over their body. How will the new Penguin be? Will it have become more exquisite by valuing the quality and naturalness of links on a website?
It is not a secret that one of the maxims pursued by Google is quality with the aim of guaranteeing a favorable user experience. This purpose has led them to assemble a whole squad of antispam vigilantes who act with diligence to eradicate those bad practices that surround the malicious links by curbing the “anything goes” to place a website at the top of Google.
Because since Google Penguin came out of the shell on April 24, 2012, the roadmap has remained intact: quality always prevails over quantity, advocating the diversity and naturalness of the links.
As the Mountain View fans like the march, they have continued working on improving their algorithm shaping Google Penguin 4.0, the latest version now in real time. But what does this mean? Tranquility will soon be published.
First Things First: What is Google Penguin?
If in your day you missed the first chapter of this almost galactic saga, I will refresh your memory a little bit. It has been 4 years since Google surprised everyone with one of the most important updates of the search algorithm announced on their official blog.
That launch was a great shock to websites around the world, getting overnight webs with excellent web positioning statistics, end up in pages of Google results where it is practically invisible to the eyes of users.
With their small differences, all these improvements focused their radar against spam in SEO techniques “chungo” as indicated by Search Engine Land :
Keyword stuffing or the excessive use of keywords within a text with the purpose of giving more relevance to this search criteria and thus artificially improve search engine positions.
Manipulated links that are made through automatic programs, the famous reciprocal links or the purchase of links, just to give some examples.
Cloaking or a prime technique sister of Black Hat SEO focused on showing different content depending on whether it is the user or the Google robot who reads that information.
Duplicate content that does not add value.
Doorways or door pages created with the sole purpose of occupying the top positions of Google by combining an indigestible mix of these penalized practices.
With the lesson well learned, now you have more clear what is that of the Google Penguin that you have read and heard on more than one occasion. Drum roll because the moment of truth came: Google Penguin 4.0 !!
Penguin 4.0: What’s the New Version of the Google Algorithm?
Let’s not fool ourselves. Google likes to make itself interesting. Why do I say this? Because although the date on which the Google blog announces the news of Penguin 4.0 was on September 23, 2016, a few months earlier had already dropped some clues of his work behind the scenes.
Specifically, it was at the SMX East Congress in July 2015 that Gary Illyes, Google’s Webmaster Trends Analyst, already talked about the Penguin update coming up.
To achieve this, you must bet on a coherent link profile under a strategy that rewards the adequacy and value that that relationship forged through a link can provide to your audience.
Do you want to satisfy user satisfaction by using good links? So, the best alternative to create quality links will have useful content, relevant and made with the user in mind as the primary objective.
What is the great news of Google Penguin 4.0?
The most significant changes of this recent update focus on 2 important qualities that make a difference compared to the previous versions: Google Penguin 4.0 is now in real time and is more granular.
Google Penguin 4.0 Monitor in Real Time
To date, the algorithm reviewed the links on a page each time the Penguin version was updated. What was happening? If I detected links that made the alarms jump – Danger, danger !! -, it was put into operation, and that page had all the ballots to take a penalty.
As this control over the quality of links is permanent, depending on the toxicity of those links, it will act.
What is this change? I will detail it later but, in general, Google Penguin 4.0 forces us to audit our profile of links very often, to be aware of everything every day, anticipating your steps.
Google Penguin 4.0 Is More Granular
Do you remember that the most “primitive” versions of the Penguin penalized a website completely by detecting spam or malicious links? An annoyance, no, the next, right? For example, if we now have toxic external links pointing to a specific URL, the Penguin will only affect that page without dragging the entire domain. In this way, there is a more balanced and balanced weighting of the links.
What does Google Penguin 4.0 imply for the SEO of a Web Project?
One of the good news that brings the new version of Penguin under the arm is the continuous review of the links. Thanks to this non-stop activity, the algorithm will not only identify bad links more quickly; also check before you have acted to eliminate those links that were subtracting quality from your website.
The previous Penguin was lazier. Now any website can be easier after suffering a penalty for Google Penguin because it stimulates in real time, while before it had to wait for the next update of the algorithm to check the web and lift that penalty, being able to spend much, much time watching how his ranking in Google was in tatters and web traffic did nothing but descend.
Difficulty detecting a penalty
Given the real-time operation of Penguin, the penalty for toxic links will not occur coinciding with the update of the algorithm. It can be at any time.
What does it mean? There is no other option than doing our maintenance work and polishing the link profile more regularly and continuously. A constant work that will allow offering immediate answers.
In this way, it will be achieved that algorithmic penalty treated in time does not revert to a decrease of positions of that URL and a decrease in organic traffic.
Actions that you must have up to date before the new version of Penguin
Constant Review of Your Link building Strategy
The Penguin asks that the generation of links be natural and coherent. For this, here are some essential tips:
Always look for quality links and forget to count the number of links on your website because the abundance for Google smells bad.
Combine DoFollow and NoFollow links. Maintain a balance between both types of links to ensure that naturalness.
Bet on links to pages that focus on the same theme of your website because Google will value it positively.
Take care of your links profile through the generation of valuable content that is so interesting for your audience that it will take them to share that link.
Keep in mind the context where that link is located so that it is related to what is said in that information.
Check the anchor text of the links so that the naturalness prevails and favors the click.
The landing pages must contain information that responds only and exclusively to what the user needs. In this sense, it plays with all possible content formats and enamors the user with data and information that is synonymous with knowledge and usefulness. The rest is stuffing that useless.
Keep in mind the User engagement to choose the page where to insert a link to your website. As you will see in the video that is included at the end of this post, Google values positively the live pages thanks to the comments of people because the content generated through this online dialogue favors the user’s behavior on that website.
Audit Your Backlinks And Remove All Malignant Links From Today.
List all backlinks using tools like Search Console or Ahrefs.
Identify which ones are harmful and which ones are not.
Eliminate toxic bonds. If they are on your website or blog, there is no problem because you have control over them. If they are on third-party websites, you must request that they delete that link.
How to contact the Webmaster of an external site where that crappy link is complicated, disavows that link with the Disavow Tool.
Send the reconsideration request to Google.
This work should be a constant in your tasks of monitoring and SEO control of your website. Do not leave everything for the last day and spend your time periodically. So you will face Penguin 4.0 in the best way: being proactive.
To finalize this post and as a summary of all these ideas, I leave you the video that our colleague Luis M. Villanueva has made to clarify many questions about Google Penguin 4.0, its operation and, very importantly, how the link is developed from now.

What is the Google Panda update?
On May 21, 2014, Matt Cutts (Director of Google’s anti-spam department) announced what many webmaster experts and SEO analysts were waiting for: a series of changes and updates to Google’s algorithm. In this case, the update has fallen on the now famous Google Panda, with its version 4.0. During the first two years with Google Panda, updates occurred almost every month, until March 2013, it was announced that the following changes would occur directly in the algorithm, and would, therefore, be more discrete, without notifications from Google. On this occasion, the new update of the Panda 4.0 algorithm has been announced, but nevertheless, it is complemented by an announcement that no major changes will be made, but this update will lay the foundations for future updates of the algorithm. The update of Google Panda 4.0. It will refine the search results of the queries, favoring the visibility of those spaces that have good quality content, and worsening the effects to those areas with low-quality content, duplicate contents or excessive advertising. At the moment, the changes have not had a major impact on the search results of our country, but in the future, the havoc for the Spanish market may begin to be noticed. This update can be translated and observed with the following consequences:
The decrease in positioning and, consequently, visits a website with low-quality content.
Increase in positions in the search engine for pages that, after being penalized in the past by Google, have solved the problem by improving the quality of its content.
The rest of the pages, which will not notice any change in the search engine, since they are in a good or medium position according to the sector’s competence, and their content is of good quality.
Impacts And Considerations
From prospect, we continuously follow these changes in the Google search algorithm to adapt and continue to improve the SEO and content strategies of our clients. Some areas to which we pay particular attention after the update are the following:
Increase the quality of the content offered on the web adapting it to user searches, thus achieving, in addition to providing an added value to the users’ browsing experience, improving the search engine positioning. It will be increasingly important to include viral pieces on our website to enhance our visibility in the search engine, actions called “performance content”.
Change those contents of the website that can be considered as spam in the eyes of Google Panda, how excessive advertising in space, duplicate content or content that does not relate to the searches for which we want to position.
Although it is more linked to Penguin, review of external links that point from pages that either may be punished for having a low-quality content or have already been punished.

How Does The Google Algorithm Work?
If you are in the SEO universe, you will know that the Google algorithm will accompany you throughout this exciting adventure, but for the most clueless, here we will make a brief introduction about possibly the most famous mathematical algorithm and that more breaks occur throughout the world. He will be in charge of deciding if you come out in the first position in the SERPs, in second or if you go to the tenth page, so it is worth paying the necessary attention.
What Is It And How Does The Google Algorithm Work?
As in any algorithm, this is a mathematical formula, which in this case will be responsible for positioning the millions of web pages that are in the world in the Google search engine. Thousands of experts from around the world have studied this algorithm in depth to try to decipher it and win the game, and the problem comes when the algorithm changes more than a hundred times at the end of the year. Google is always one step ahead of us and is smarter than him is a more than complicated task, so we recommend you to know perfectly how the different algorithms that Google has developed to make things difficult and learn to coexist with them. We assure you that you will be much better.
Google Panda
Google Panda is an algorithm change focused mainly on quality content, rewarding those websites that offer useful and attractive content for users, placing them at the top of the rankings. It appeared for the first time on February 23, 2011, and did it through the front door, punishing all those websites whose content was of low quality, that is, that was too short, that it was duplicated from other websites, that counted on faults of grammar, that did not add value, etc. The goal of Google Panda is to penalize those websites that were well positioned without contributing anything to users, so we recommend that if you are starting in the SEO world pay special attention to the content, and make sure it is a quality content and own, that is well written, that is related to the theme of your website, and that provides useful information to users.
Google Penguin
If Panda focuses on the content, Google Penguin does so on the quality of the links. It arrived in April 2012, one year later than Google Panda, which meant a scourge to all those websites that after adapting to the changes introduced by Panda and achieving a better flight, fell again in a dive, this time due to having a high content of bad quality links, which had been purchased at check-books or that came from links farms that did not provide any value. It brought with it major changes in the SEO landscape, giving value to the natural links that have been created by providing real value, to the variety of anchor text used naturally, to quality over quantity and to the links that come out of it. Some niche related to your theme. In order not to be flogged by the famous penguin, we recommend that you follow the guidelines set by Google and that you do not create large links to your website. Check Google Webmaster Tools and check your link profile.
Google Hummingbird
Hummingbird is the latest Google algorithm, released in August 2013 and designed to analyze semantic search and knowledge graph. It was a big change because unlike Panda and Penguin, Google Hummingbird is not an update, it is a totally new algorithm that uses some parts of the old algorithms and has introduced new ones. His arrival affected more than 90% of searches around the world; there is nothing. Hummingbird aims to improve conversational search, making you have to look less to access the results. It focuses on the intention of each user behind the search. You know, be careful with the hummingbird.
