Teccas new drop
Dark Thoughts" features an infectious, upbeat melody that contrasts with its introspective lyrics. Tecca delves into the complexities of relationships, offering support to a partner grappling with inner turmoil. Lines like "She got dark thoughts, let me hear some, yeah, baby, I’ll be messed up for you highlight his willingness to be there for his loved one, even amidst challenging emotions. Produced by Lucas Scharff, the instrumental incorporates twinkling piano keys and bright loops, drawing inspiration from Pharrell and Jay-Z's classic track "Frontin'." The song opens with a four-count beat reminiscent of early 2000s R&B, adding a nostalgic touch to the modern production

new carti album
After a prolonged hiatus since his 2020 album Whole Lotta Red, Playboi Carti has returned with his highly anticipated third studio album, MUSIC, released on March 14, 2025. This 30-track project marks a significant evolution in Carti's sound, blending elements of trap, rage rap, and experimental textures. Notably, Carti adopts a deeper, raspier vocal tone, moving away from his signature "baby voice" style. The album features collaborations with artists such as Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Travis Scott, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, and Jhené Aiko, adding depth and variety to the project.

Career fair
Students dressed in professional attire carried gleaming resumes and practiced elevator pitches, eager to approach recruiters and be made aware of careers, internships, and co-op programs. Recruiters were no less enthusiastic, seeking bright, dedicated individuals to work on real-world challenges. Truly a great opportunity, and a lot of fruitful connections were made

Event 3 Sinners
This previous weekend, I was able to watch Sinners. This film was a fantastic watch. it was packed to the brim with easter eggs. For example, the use of assimilation and how it is a great way to understand how it affects us today, with the hip hop landscape, like with the conversations about Ian biting off the success of the African American community. Overall, this is definitely a film I would have to watch more than once.

Event 2: My experience at Blerdcon 2025
This was my second chance to volunteer at Blerdcon through the new Blerd order, and this year, I took it in stride. this year, I was able to participate in the panel hosted by Nbo, which was the find your tribe pannel. Basically, a panel that helped address both the common ground and common issues birds see in everyday life. This was quite a charged discussion, with many great points. I was also able to work with the company's aim hit go to provide a fantastic experience to congoers. and my highlight of the convention was the concerts. As a floater through the convention, I got to be basically everywhere and do everything. for me, this was a 11/10 experience as an attendee and a 12/10 experience for a volunteer

My experience with the VCDMA kickback 2025
this event was fantastic. Department Chair Williams did a great job of enlightening the students on opportunities within the program. My favorite part of the event was near the end during the Q&A when we were told that each part of the department could come together to make a film as each of us serves a different role in that process. That was very inspiring, especially as someone who often works alone on most projects. It gave some credence to the idea that I probably should not do that, to be honest, and should try my best to make connections as the people here will potentially be my co-workers.

Current Opinions on white rappers in the culture
With the rise of white rappers over the last few months, specifically the rapper Ian, a lot of interesting conversations have arisen in terms of how white rappers are invading the cultural space. This was primarily brought to our attention by Tyler, the creator. he was quite blunt in his approach as well by pointing out the fact that he believes that they are being vultures. my personal belief is that anyone can participate in the culture as long as they respect it. I feel like Ian, in this instance, is quite respectful of the culture and is fine.

signifying in rap
to be entirely honest, I believe that Kendrick Lamar is a perfect example of signifying in rap Kendrick entire performance was an allegory to the divide in America. and he did it by using America biggest platform to highlight all of the injustices currently happening in America.

Opinion on Kendrick Lamars Show
My opinion on Kendricks's performance is that it was flawless. kendrick managed to highlight every issue that is currently going on in America at the moment through a variety of metaphors and imagery. for example, he highlighted the divide in America at the moment by literally forming a flag out of dancers that created the flag and split it in two. the greatest part about the show for me is the layers that it had. Samuel L. Jackson plays the role of Uncle Sam, and this entire show runs deep.Blaze

Hip Hop Theme
youtube
This song is called Chill Bae by Lil Uzi Vert. This song relates to me because the album it came from is the most experimental album we have seen from a rapper for a while, in my humble opinion, and I tend to be a person who tries many different things. Seeing one of my favorite rappers experience things helped me get more comfortable with just trying things and being loud about it. through that, I feel like this song works as an introduction to my classmate and kind of shows off bits of my personality in what I like and how I live
