“Oh my god, Ivy.” Hiro walked over and placed a hand on her shoulder. “You know what? I don’t think we even need any lights.” He braced himself for the cheesiest pick up line on Earth. “Because the brightest light in here is you.”
He silently facepalmed. “We should probably hang up the lights though. It would be a kind of boring without them.” He picked up the snowflake lights and grabbed a chair, stringing them around the top of the tree.
(Nerd i send starter. I think it would be cooler if they were a little older, like 18-19 ish. okee?) "Hey, Ivy?" Hiro knocked on her front door, trying to prop up a giant christmas tree on his back. "I brought something over, I know how you love to get into the season, so would ya like to decorate this with me? There's not enough space at my apartment, and there's ornaments in my car so..." He grunted as the tree's weight nearly crushed him, ringing the doorbell again.
Ivy quickly opened the door, squealing like a child. She clapped her hands, thanking him before helping him set up the tree inside. Running up the stairs, she stopped for a moment before she yelled down to him, “Imma get my lights! You can grab your ornaments!” And with that, she went off to collect her boxes of lights.

Hiro smiled as he watched her run upstairs, grabbing his boxes from his car and placing them next to the tree. He heard his girlfriend still shuffling upstairs, so he grabbed a small sprig of mistletoe and hung it in the doorway, just out of sighs. Grinning to himself, he began untangling some lights and looking over his boxes of ornaments.

Hiro was about to respond, but then the light touch tickled his arm, and he started giggling. “S-Stop! Baydrake!” He laughed again. “I’m very ticklish!” When the large dragon stopped, he retaliated by tickling his sides with his nimble fingers, a large grin on his face.
Hiro just now eyed the large scar, not realizing it was there until Baydrake mentioned it. He gently rubbed it, careful not to bother the large drake.
“I’m sorry Baydrake.” The boy felt bad when he stirred up the bad memories, but felt another connection to him at the same time. “I kinda understand. When I was in grade school, the other kids made fun of me, probably for the same reason. They were probably jealous of how smart I was, and that I skipped so many grades, and some of them beat me up on several occasions. But…I always had my brother there for me. I didn’t know what to do without him.”
“But, another thing I don’t understand is why I’ve never seen any other dragons before. Honestly, I don’t even remember how I met you, but I’m glad I did. I’m also glad I was the one who found you, and not someone else who would attack you out of fear. I don’t know how people would be scared of you though, buddy.” He smiled, once again curling up against Baydrake’s side, rubbing him to comfort him, as the memories seemed to tense him up quite a bit.

Hiro’s face practically turned white, as Ivy rushed in, fangirling. Yes, he was one of the superhero’s he’d heard her gush over many times, but he was determined to keep it a secret.
“Oh, hi Ivy...” He shook his head as he finally removed his helmet, shaking out his tangled hair. “You caught me...I’m...” He took off his boots, also putting them in the closet. Thankfully, she couldn’t see Baymax’s armor, so he quickly came up with a response. “I tried to keep it from you, but I couldn’t. I know how much you love the unnamed hero, so...” He sat down on the bed, bouncing his knees to try and think. “I grouped up with the gang at the nerd lab to make this costume, and I was going to make you one to surprise you. It isn’t the real thing, obviously because no one knows his identity. But you...kinda spoiled the surprise.” He looked up at her, a small smile on his lips, hoping she would believe his story.

After a long day at the lab without Hiro, Ivy got worried, thinking he was sick. She waved to Cass and went up the stairs, then proceeding to knock on Hiro’s door,
“Hey, nerd! Are you okay? You weren’t at the nerd lab all day.”

Hiro sighed, running a hand through his hair, his fingers getting caught in the tangles. “Well...I don’t know how much help I’d be, but I’ll do whatever I need to. I could build something, or come up with a plan, I dunno. But I want to help.”

Like, do you know any other dragons or people?” Hiro’s eyes grew wide. “Are there other dragons you know?”

Hiro was flopped down on his bed, breathing heavily. He was just out with the Big Hero 6, trying to stop an attack on SFIT by the two genius thugs that roamed San Fransokyo. He was still in his full battle armor, Baymax in his, stepping into his charger to refill his battery. He’d just dropped off his other friends after the adventure, and that morning, he’d used the excuse that he was at the “nerd lab” experimenting all day.
But just as he began to catch his breath, a knock on the door made him jump. As he heard Ivy’s voice, knowing his girlfriend was just outside, he leaped up, quickly pulling the armor off Baymax and shoving it in the closet.
“Um, hey Princess! Yeah, I haven’’t been at the lab, because...” He pulled the final piece off of Baymax, throwing it in the closet while quickly thinking of an excuse. “...because I’ve been...sick!” He fake coughed, while he started to take off his helmet. “Yeah, I got a nasty cold after being in the unsanitized lab for so long, and I’m real contagious, so don’t come in!”
Yeah, sickness, of course. That worked for Spiderman, right? Nice job, Hiro. Hiro facepalmed himself through the helmet, as he struggled to take it off. But of course, it was stuck. Great.

He hesitated for a second, then patted his hand on Aiko’s shoulder, looking at her and smiling. “It’s okay. I’ve learned to live with it.” He chuckled a little bit. “Most of the superheroes I read about don’t have parents either, so that says a lot for my future.”
Once the bus pulled up to the stop closest to his house, he walked off the bus and walked towards the Lucky Cat Cafe, motioning for Aiko to follow. “Yeah, you’ll definitely like my aunt.” When Hiro and Aiko reached the cafe, he opened the door, holding it for his friend, and smiling at her as she entered.
The high school auditorium was packed like a can of sardines. Honey Lemon was lucky enough to find a seat next to a jet-black-haired boy with a red t-shirt. She shifted in her seat, feeling the eyes of the boy on the side of her face. Honey turned to the boy and nervously stated, "So this is high school, huh?"
Hiro, who was glancing at the cute new freshman that had sat next to him. He was quite nervous, so as the girl’s eyes turned to him, he looked away, embarrassed. “Y-yeah, I guess it is.” He smiled, refusing to look at her, as the principal stepped up to a podium in the middle of the room, preparing himself for a speech.

He caught his breath as the dragon dived, giggling ecstatically. “Oh wow, so much better! This is…crazy! Awesome, but crazy!” He fell back on the palm of Baydrake’s forelimb, breathing heavily. “What else can you do? Backflip?!” He smiled to himself, the wind whistling through a small gap between his front teeth.

“Wow, sure was...” He still had an ecstatic grin on his face. “Wow, that was the best thing I’ve done in a long time!” He waited for Baydrake to open the claw as he landed, and Hiro stumbled out, placing a hand on the leathery skin as he regained his balance and adjusted to the ground once again. “Oh man...I know I’ve said this a million times already, but you’re amazing Baydrake!” He sat down, placing his hands behind him to stabilize himself and stretching his legs. Hiro smiled another toothy grin at the large white drake, as his breath evened itself out.

Hiro chuckled. “Three? Well, that explains why you were trying to catch a Pidgey. I’ve seen some pretty strong Pokemon out here, but some weaker ones as well. Try going for a...I dunno. Whatever else you can find.” He smiled, moving a little closer and rubbing the top of Pansage’s head, secretly giving the little Pokemon a Pokepuff. “I’ve been on the road for a while, now. I took breaks every so often, but it’s been a few years, I lost count.”

“Nice job Pansage!” Ivy cheered and patted the green Pokemon happily. She had just defeated a wild Pidgey and captured it. She heard a sudden crunch in the bushes. Pansage jumped on her shoulder and began glaring at where the noise was coming from, “Pan, Pansage!” Ivy glared too, “Who’s there?”

He smiled as she caught up. “So,” Hiro said, trying to make small talk. “How many badges you got?” He pat his Alakazam on the head, as his Pokemon pointed to the town excitedly with his psychic spoons. He laughed, before turning to Ivy.

He brought Hiro up to his chest before lifting off again. Baydrake was soon up in the clouds over the city, and going in a steady, straight line. The dragon gave a guttural, happy bellow, and did a barrel roll and a few loop-the-loops.
“Woohoo! How ya doin Hiro?~”

“Oh, um...” Hiro’s face turned solemn for a moment, before he shook it off quickly. “My...My parents died when I was three. I’ve lived with my Aunt Cass ever since. She runs a cafe right under our apartment, so she’s pretty busy most of the time, but I’m sure she won’t mind us working.” He chuckled a bit. “She’s one of those parents that support everything, encourage everything, and is super excited about the things I do in or out of school. She’s quirky, to say the least. I’m sure you’ll like her.” He hopped on the bus, choosing a seat near the front and patting the spot beside him, smiling at Aiko.
