Eve couldn’t help but giggle softly, touching her hand to her cheeks as her pink eyes lit up. She could tell she had startled him, and the embarrassed look on his face was just too much fun.Â
“I’m sorry, I should have introduced myself first. We haven’t officially met, but my grandpa is one of your patients. Terry LeFleur? Our family runs the winery.” she motioned back the way she came before holding out a hand to him in greeting. “It’s a pleasure, Doctor.”
Pausing for a spell, she couldn’t help the curious question, “What seems to be troubling you? Not that I am likely able to help with anything medical, but I do pride myself in being a good listener.”
“Mister Terry LeFleur,” he said in a wistful manner, nodding and giving that little smile afterwards. He seemed pleased to have some knowledge gained from his patients. Such times like these made their friendly little anecdotes count as blessings. “Yes, I remember. Then... that would mean that you’re Miss Eve, yes? The pleasure is all mine.”
For a moment, he thought about how strange and... new it felt to be called “Doctor”.
“As far as my troubles go, I suppose it’s nothing too big... I’m having a bit of a hard time mass-producing uh... These.” He lifted up the petite wooden whistle, glancing down at it. “They’re meant to serve as something to call me over in times of emergencies, when someone doesn’t have the ability to come to me. Perhaps I’ll simply suggest grass whistles...”

Eve had been taking a stroll into town, taking advantage of the steadily warming weather to try and get a bit better acquainted with the town from her childhood. As she meandered through the streets, she found herself smiling and waving to several people, most of whom she had yet to speak to before. It was always fun being in a new place that way, as she loved to meet new people.
As she was about to head passed the clinic, she spotted Hiro sitting out front and she found a smile crossing her face. She was pretty sure he was the local doctor, although she had never actually spoken to him before. He looked a bit glum, she noted, and she found her feet moving on their own toward him.
“Good afternoon, doctor!” she greeted, raising one hand up in a friendly gesture, the smile on her face bright and sunny. “Is everything all right? You seem a bit gloomy today.”
She didn’t believed they had ever been introduced, but she couldn’t help herself. Maybe he was just lonely and in need of a friendly hello.
The greeting had surprised him, no doubt. He snapped out of his own little world and turned his head to the woman who called out for him, blinking as if to process what she had just said to him. She was a familiar face, he thought, but where did he see her again...? Perhaps they passed each other once or twice or...Â
Oh! Wait! He had to respond!
“Good afternoon,” he managed to say almost too quickly, seeming a little embarrassed that he hadn’t replied right away. “I’m doing fine, actually... But I suppose I’ve just been stumped by this little problem that I’ve had in regards to my business. Nothing to worry too much about, Miss... Hm. I apologize, um, we haven’t seem to have met each other before...?”Â

Medical Melody || Open
For a while now, Hiro had been thinking about a certain problem: mobility. Sure, he was available almost all the time, his problem wasn’t getting to those who were injured. His problem was the injured coming to him. What if they had a broken leg, or they sprained an ankle? Or worse? And what if they were alone? They wouldn’t be able to move, much less come to the clinic.Â
So he started to think of a solution since the past few days, and soon enough, it came. He’d hand his patients a whistle that could only sound one tone. If they were ever in an emergency, they’d blow the whistle, and he’d hear it (hopefully) and he’d come right over.Â
...The only problem was that he was having trouble actually making the whistles. He had made one prototype as he sat outside the clinic, but it took a quite a bit work. Carpentry wasn’t his forte. Â
This is going to take some time, he thought to himself with a sigh.

Adding Life || Molly & Hiro
When someone thinks of a hospital, they often think of the color white. White bed sheets, white pillows, the white gurney that seems so clear to everyone even to people who have never been on one. The walls are white, and the floor? White. It was almost blinding.
Not that Hiro had a problem with it. No, that wasn’t it at all. It’s just that he wanted his clinic to be something a little more welcoming. Sure, cleanliness is next to goddess...liness, but being nervous in the doctor’s office is common. Perhaps some color would brighten up the place a little more.
And that’s how he ended up speaking to a certain florist with a little bit of an eager spark in his step and tone.Â
“Hello,” he greeted her, a polite smile on his face. “Might I ask for some advice? Oh, I’ll be here to buy flowers too, of course. I simply need a bit of guidance.”
