miles fits into so many horror verses its insane one day ill collect them all

imma get emo at only 7:30pm but one of the things that’s extremely important to me about miles is his empathy. most people don’t have it nor want to have it towards people who actively try to hurt/kill them and that’s valid, it’s extremely valid it but in miles’ case, the people who are the ‘enemies’ are the variants….and he just can’t bring himself to hate them because these are mentally ill people who were royally screwed over and yeah some of them might’ve not been very good people before getting tested on but as a whole, miles feels sympathy for them. a huge example of this was for chris, a guy who’s arguably caused miles the most grief but when he died? miles said it himself, he hopes chris went to a better place than this. 

there are exceptions, mainly trager and the other doctors, but all miles wanted to do in going to mt. massive is expose what murkoff has been doing to the patients there. and no matter how far he’s been pushed and mutilated? his empathy never wavers. it’s just who he is.
