The thing was, Hiro was sick, and it wasn't something that could be fixed with just a little medicine. Even Baymax couldn't make his brother well again, though he had tried. Sure, Aunt Cass had money, but Tadashi knew she already spent a lot on her nephews as it was. He wanted to help out, so money wouldn't be nearly as tight, and he couldn't exactly be picky about after school jobs. Of course he knew who Alistair Krei was, everyone did. Working for the tech guru billionaire seemed like it might not be so bad. Maybe he could even learn something from him. And the pay was already promising to be pretty good. What he hadn't expected was to become what was basically a secretary for the older man. 

Tadashi tried to stifle the groan when his boss handed the coffee back to him, just like that. It wasn't his fault he'd had to stop and make a quick call home to see how Hiro was doing, not really. He would have worried the rest of the day if he hadn't. But he might not have been able to wipe the briefly exasperated look from his face, one his brother knew well. He wanted to say something, but Tadashi bit his lip to keep himself from talking back. He needed this job... for Hiro. It was important. "Yes, Mr. Krei," he said instead, though his voice fell a little flat. He started to turn... before pausing, and then looking back at Krei. "With all due respect, Mr. Krei... I think I could do more for you than just fetch your coffee and address you envelopes."

For his sake (Secretary AU)

He sympathized with the boy, he really did. He understood balancing both school and work was difficult, and it was especially difficult when your superior was none other than Alistair Krei. But Alistair was equally as busy, if not more so, and he didn’t appreciate being handed lukewarm coffee when he had specifically asked for a hot black. He immediately handed it back without looking up from his laptop.

"Make it again. No detours this time." Which meant Tadashi would either have to skip lunch or work past the end of his shift, but that wasn’t his problem. Until Tadashi adjusted to his busy schedule, he suspected the boy would be doing that quite often. "Once you’ve done that, you can start addressing these envelopes for me." He gestured to the pile beside him. "They need to be sent no later than five. The post office closes at five thirty."
