I want to get into writing scps and I’ve been thinking about writing a Xia Culture Anomalous Group skip (I really really love them). Any advice?
Personally the reason I wrote this series is because I wanted a different cultural perspective on CotBG?
Like suppose the Broken God is real (in universe), then different cultures bound to have different takes on the deity. The CotBG used to be based heavily on western ideas, so I wanted a different take, so I used what I'm familiar with.
My thought process is that they would not be interested in bringing Broken God back from being broken, and they would maybe view Mekhane and Yaldabaoth as being a balanced pair. Then I placed this group in a time period we know only a little about so I can just make a lot of things up. (I probably should have done more research tho.)
So rather than specific elements, I think cultural context in more important here? I would actually suggest you develop things from your own cultural background if this one is unfamiliar to you. Like what would other cultures view a god of machine and a god of flesh?
