This feels WRONG. No, it is WRONG . . . Connie shouldn’t be here- this is STEVEN’S ROOM. ❝ I- I’m not actually sure why I came here. It’s- ❞ She swallows, ANXIETY pools in her gut. She’s never been here without Steven, ( she didn’t think she could even STEP FOOT into THE ROOM without him- his GEMSTONE to ACTIVE IT ) it felt almost HOLLOW, COLD without H I M. It’s like STEPPING INTO a VOID / A COTTEN CANDY COLORED BLACK HOLE. PINK DIAMOND. No, ROSE QUARTZ stares back her && Connie forces her gaze to where the DOOR once was. Now it’s nothing but NEVER-ENDING PINK CLOUDS that seem to go on FOREVER.

❝ The door just opened and- ❞ Connie SHAKES her head, cutting herself off. She’s ACTING RIDICULOUS ! She’s talking to CLOUDS !This isn’t REAL. Logically Connie knows this, that it’s just another GEM THING. But she looks so REAL. A TANGIBLE BEING. It made her skin CRAWL. She REMEMBERS Steven saying this only happens when he NEEDED IT. But why would it O P E N for her ? She was just a HUMAN- there was no GEMSTONE imbedded in her SKIN. && the BIGGEST QUESTION on her MIND was why did it show her Rose of all THINGS ? Connie had no DESIRE to see or speak with her. ❝ I need to find the exit. Now. ❞ She turns away from Rose && starts walking, hands clenched at her sides, gaze LASER FOCUSED.

She bites her tongue, swallowing the WORDS. Connie wants to Y E L L, wants to be a CHILD again && throw a fit . . . But she CONTROLS the urge. This isn’t about her, it’s about Steven. It’s ALWAYS about him. Something UGLY && BITTER && ANGRY curls in the pit of her stomach. Look at me ! Her mind SCREAMS, echoing in her skull. Be ANGRY ! YELL !
