Do you have an irrational fear?
"I think everyone does. Mine is kinda stupid, I get embarrassed when I tell people. I'm scared of losing control. Well, not like lose control as in lash out and get angry. More as in, of my body. Like, someone else takes control of my body and I can only sit back and watch from afar. Or, my brain just starts acting on its own. Like the hemispheres of my brain just stop communicating and I can't control my body. Like, in the split brain experiment."

If you do not believe in God, what do you believe happens after death? What do you believe in?
"The universe is its own spiritual being. It knows all but is not a being. It can judge all, it knows what you did when you were an infant and knows what you'll do when you're nearing your last breath. You should not fear nor should you see it as a friend or peaceful.
When we die, it will judge us. Have you been good your whole life? Or have you been horrible? Or, were you just neutral? That judges your fate, what happens after death.
Say you were good. Since you could walk and talk, you were a good kid. Honest, kind, trustworthy. After death, you'll find yourself floating. Floating in nothing. It wouldn't be bright nor would it be dark. It would just be nothing. You'll be in your body where you felt most happy. Maybe when you were a toddler or an adult, or maybe even when you were an infant. You would not have any of your senses. But, you'll float. As if, you were on waves. You would have no sense of time. There is no telling how long you'll be there. Then, you'll see light, and hear faint noises. You'd been born again. The universe judged you worthy enough of having a second chance.
What if you were just neutral? You hadn't done too bad things in your time alive, but you also didn't do too good stuff either. You were 50/50, to say it. You will not experience nothingness. You will wake up but will not be alive. The universe does not believe you've done enough good to deserve reincarnation. You will have to prove yourself, once more. This will take years to do. You will be stuck in a spirit form, watching over another. You will be stuck with them, as if you were a guardian angel. And then, you'll see blinding lights and hear faint noises. You proven yourself to the universe, you have been born again.
Now, finally, say you were bad. More or less, horrible in your lifetime. You were this sick, horrible person or were just a bad person, simple like that. You will not be reincarnated nor will you be given a chance to redeem yourself as a spirit. It'll be like the same, almost, as if you were good. You would be floating in nothingness. Slowly moving as you were on waves. You wouldn't have any of your senses but you can think, and you would have a sense of time. You will be aware of the time passing by as you're stuck in nothingness, and you will only hear your thoughts. You will have memories, not all of them. You will only remember everything bad you did as you float there, in nothingness for, well, "eternity".
What if, you die before you could really do anything bad or good? As an infant or in the womb. You will skip the "floating in nothingness" part, and will be immediately reincarnated. "
