“Here come the Americans ! What America is bringing to us”. Here is a nice French propaganda poster from 1918. The poster explains all things USA was bringing into the war to help its allies (mens, money, war loans, boats, etc…). America made a huge contribution during the war, when both France and the United Kingdom were exhausted by 3 years of extremely harsh combats. I especially like the “Western” typeface used in the poster. Many French thought the US citizen were mainly cowboys at the time.
