○ Put into Practice ○
“Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.” – Matt 7:24-27
Throughout the course of life we hear a lot of things, some of them stay and others “go in one ear and out the other” as my teacher would say. At the end of every lesson her theory would be proven by the answers we gave to the questions about what had been taught. The theory would be made complete when she’d say, “school is 80% listening and 20% learning.” Automatically, we assumed if we listened in class we didn’t have to do homework. What we didn’t know, was that homework had an equal role in the success of our school career, simply because we’d be putting into practice what we heard. Similarly, if we only listen to the Word from church or through podcasts and hope that it sticks, without doing anything else, we would only be experiencing a portion of what God wants us to receive from Him.
The book of James (1:22) says “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” So, let’s do what it says! With that, we are able to withstand whatever conditions come our way. The moment we take the Word sown into our lives, live it out and see it grow, we are then standing firmly on the foundation that is Christ Jesus who never fails. When those times of floods and wind mentioned in the scripture come? You don’t have to worry about being overcome when you have the Word of the One who has already overcome the world living inside you!
 ||This week let us put into practice what the Word says,  be it in our workplace or during a family crisis, whatever it may be. Let HIS word be a measuring rod against it. Have a blessed week.||
Remember, live out what He has spoken over you!
