Birthday celebration isn't really anything big for Sonic & Tails ! And as rare as it is they've probably celebrated Tails' day more often than Sonic's, cuz Sonic doesn't mess a chance to make his little brother feel special, and also the fact that he doesn't make sure he's home around his own birthday ( guy who's on the other side of the planet whenever you give him a call ), unlike Tails' . I like to think Generations was the first time Sonic got to celebrate with a party, and it went very well as we all know lmao

His  frail  ear  flicks  at  her  soft  voice ,  the  sweetness  wrapped  neatly  around  each  word &  the  kind  offering .  He's  not  too  alien  to  such  attention ,  as  he  stares  down  at  his  feet &  finds  dirt  crusting  on  the  bright  red  of  his  boots ,  around  the  bright  shine  of  golden  buckles .  He  taps  his  foot  twice  against  the  ground ,  bashfully  attempting  to  get  some  dirt  off  while  skeptical  gaze  falls  elsewhere .  She  sounds  so  earnest ,  it's  almost  uncomfortable  against  the  memory  of  his  own  mother's  voice ;  mature ,  safe ,  stern &  demanding . 

A  few  protesting  chuffs  could  be  heard  as  he  shakes  his  head ,  light  blue  quills  swaying :  he  doesn't  want  to  take  off  his  shoes ,  he's  only  recently  learned  to  wash  them  by  himself !  Besides ,  he  doesn't  mind  the  dirt ,  he  still  plans  to  run  a few  more  miles  throughout  the  rest  of  the  day  so  they'll  get  dirty  again  anyway .  Though  perhaps  he  could  trust  the  nice  lady  with  something  else ,  another  article  of  clothing .  

The  plain  white  scarf  around  his  neck ,  it  catches  murky  spots  faster  than  he  likes ,  which  is  driving  him  a  little  crazy ,  because  he  usually  likes  when  things  happen  fast .   Putting  all  hesitancy  in  the  back  of  his  mind ,  he  uncurls  the  fabric  and  folds  it  as  neat  as  his  clumsy  hands  could  do  with  such  a  long  piece .  He  then  holds  it  up ,  arms  extended  at  full  length  as  the  golden  ring  of  the  scarf  glimmers  on  top  of  the  fabric ,  hoping  experienced  hands  could  do  the  poor  thing  justice . 

' WHY , look at you , your shoes have gotten all dirty ! ' a small , delicate hand extends to flap and beckon the other . ' come here , come here , why don't you take them off for a moment , and i'll give them a right good wash so that they're all clean and sparkly again ! ' // @hiswrlds
