Homicide Story: Andre

Today, there is a memorial for Andre at Julliard in NYC. A celebration of his life and talent and a chance for family, friends, and colleagues to be together. So, my thoughts drift into memory. They drift to Baltimore and to the many moments swirling around in the old memory hat. From all the hours we spent between shots in the Cavaliers, all the very philosophical and religious discussions we had late into the evenings - I wish I had recorded them all - to our impromptu rap performances on set, playing chess, the crossword puzzles, lunches, dinners, and coffees. From his breaking down the stock market, giving me investing tips (which I never took), and the trips by train we shared to New York and back. From all the many scenes we did, the good work we put into getting to those places where we could fly - and to all the freaking laughter. God, he was a fun person to be with. Kind, and supportive of his fellow actors. He was tolerant of a newbie recovering addict, and we spent quite a few hours talking about sobriety and how to stay sober. It occurs to me that since his passing, I’ve been trying to fill in the gaps which I’ve forgotten. Stories come to me from all over, kicking off feelings which are the paints for this memory portrait I’ve been painting. -Kyle Secor

Hi! Yes I do indeed like your gifs. If you feel like it could you gif Bayliss telling Sheppard that he loves Pembleton? The he was my partner, best friend (he never had friends) exchange? If not that's cool as well, I make my own gifs but at this stage Im in limbo whilst I wait for videos in the post to obtain good footage. Your hlots files are lovely and big??

What can we do, right? Except move on to the next case. Did I say something funny? You just sounded like Frank. The almighty Pembleton. Yeah. Yeah, you can’t believe how many times Frank and I chewed over a case, spat it out, tried to get that nasty taste out of our mouths. And we’d weigh the value of every life lost. Tried to figure out what it all really means, y’know, this whole life thing.
