because he’s a hippie and a punk that wanted so much more for it, that believed - at one point - that they could get there. he doesn’t want to save the world because he doesn’t want the world to have to be saved! he wants it to just be okay for a while, but it just all goes to hell again after he helps and he’s tired, okay? especially since he never gets to just be tired without someone no sooner guilting him into accepting another job of holding everyone else’s problems together. so yeah, he’s gonna complain, because no one lets him catch a break.

but if he truly believed there was no hope for the world, he wouldn’t try to save it in the first place.

Solving Tim and Damian hostility by getting them to roleplay warrior cats with each other so they can take out all their violence on cat OCs. As a sibling who used to do this with my brother can recommend.

I’ve said this before but any attempt to create strict rules for what fiction is for and what it should do, what writing or art should do, the way it ‘should’ be made or ‘should’ be interacted with, is a foolish endeavour to me and fundamentally misses the point of human expression. I’ve never heard someone state a strict rule for how art should be that I’ve found compelling or absolute, even if I have personally related to experiencing or wanting to experience or create art in a similar way

Whump concept where there is no whumper, just fate, picking on one unfortunate soul. A whumpee who is always tripping over nothing, bruised knees and stubbed toes. They seem to have the world's worst luck. Until it starts to escalate, tripping down stairs, hit by a car, mugged more than statistically possible. And the quest their friends/caretaker goes on to find the god angry with whumpee and solve this once and for all.
