Rant About Thai K-Idols
I see a lot of people always say things such as; “King Chittaphon Leechaiyapornkul” or “Lisa is the princess of Thailand” or “Thailand’s King Nichkhun” or “Prince Bambam of Thailand” etc. (do i need to go on). First of all, I’d just like to ask everyone to STOP addressing Thai idols with royal titles. It is EXTREMELY disrespectful to Thailand, the Thai Royal Family, Thai culture, Thai beliefs and the idols themselves. When Sorn was on Happy Together and the hosts kept saying she was Thailand’s princess - you could see how uncomfortable she was and she kept saying no. You know why? It’s disrespectful. Thailand as a nation love and respect our royal family, a lot. We even have pictures of the Royal family everywhere, we stop in our tracks when the national anthem play, our late king passed away and we are still having the year long mourning period. So to be seeing common people referred to as a royalty of our nation, I’m sorry but it’s offensive. I know how great those idols are and as a Thai person I am proud of them for making a name for our country. However, the kpop fandom needs to stop giving them royal titles. They are not even considered A Listers in Thailand! Only people who like kpop knows them. (well except Nichkhun since he’s done many cfs and even lakorns). I mean, if you say King Ten or Prince Bambam no one will care, but if you add of Thailand, it’s another story. Please think about how you’re belittling a nation by doing it and think about how those idols will definitely also be uncomfortable with it and find it disrespectful. I know it’s just a lack of knowledge but I hope EVERYONE will stop doing this. It’s not a matter of Thai people being petty, it is a serious issue as it’s even a crime in Thailand to belittle the royal family and it’s treated as treason.

if you run around calling other groups flops unprovoked just because bts has a billboard music award, then you’re a disgrace to the fandom ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

iKON To Make Long-Awaited Comeback With Double Title Songs
iKON will finally be making a long-awaited comeback! According to a source from YG Entertainment, iKON will be filming their new music video on March 15 and is in the beginning stages of preparing for their comeback. They added, “iKON’s comeback is slated to follow WINNER’s, but a concrete date has not been decided yet.” It was also reported that they will be filming a second music video next week. For this album, iKON will be using double title songs written by their uber-talented members. The band has already set the bar high with their songwriting and producing, and it is expected that they will impress once again. Meanwhile, iKON is making their first comeback in almost a year. Since their last album, they have been gaining more experience performing on stage while touring in Japan. Moreover, they were successful in winning over the Japanese market, taking the New Artist Of The Year Award and the Best 3 New Artists Award at the 31st Japan Golden Disc Awards. Following the road paved by seniors like BIGBANG, iKON is set to perform on even bigger stages. In May, they will embark on their first Japanese dome tour in just one year and nine months since their debut, which is the shortest time it took for a foreign artist to achieve the feat. Are you excited for iKON’s comeback?
