what are your thoughts on catherine hardwicke and how she directed twilight?

not only do i believe twilight (2008) directed by catherine hardwicke is unironically masterfully crafted in a way that feels like a perfect and innovative blend of absurdist horror and romantic mystery, i think catherine hardwicke singlehandedly launched the movement to follow of adapting y/a books into blockbuster movies
