i was reading about the archaeological evidence of bronze age european cultures on wikipedia, as you do, and came across the article on early bronze age stone wrist-guards. these are rectangular-ish pieces of stone with variable numbers of holes and shaping which were found mainly in burial sites at hand/wrist level of bronze age bodies. for the entire time the wikipedia article has existed, it's included this image:

this is showing how you would wear such a thing to serve as an archery guard. however, the article has also for at least a decade included content mainly on a set of research papers that instead argue that the shaping and location of the guards make it unlikely to have been used as an arm guard and may instead have been decorative/a status marker. nonetheless the image, now apparently inaccurate, has stood, either because no one cared to replace it or no alternatives were available. the talk page shows no signs of any interest in this problem.

finally, last year, one brave soul had had enough. they were going to Fix this wikipedia page. no longer would we labor under the yoke of an image that disagrees with the content of the article it was attached to. so they fixed the page in what is obviously the most natural, reasonable, context-appropriate manner:

We stopped by the Eolian. Denna wasn't there, but I collected Deoch instead and we made our way to the King's Arms, an establishment of the sort no self-respecting student could ever afford. The doorman looked the motley lot of us over scornfully, as if he would object, but Threpe frowned his best gentleman's frown and ushered all of us safely inside.
