It will get cold again eventually. The summer will not last forever. I’m not doomed to live in this unbearable heat for all eternity. <- said while gripping the countertop so hard that the tile is starting to crack

To speak on point 2, I find that outside looking in a lot of younger lesbians are still using patriarchal ideas about gender roles without them realizing it, resulting in toxic cycle of “I’m the woman in the relationship” thinking. The most successful lesbian relationships I’ve seen are the ones that try to correct that subconscious expectation. You are not immune to poor dating habits.
You know that thing lesbians who have previously dated men do, when they date a woman for the first time, and are like "oh my god women are so much better, my boyfriend was never this good, why isn't everyone dating women, you should all date women?" Sometimes I want to reach through the screen, hold their hand, and say, "have you considered that some of the problems in your last relationship might have been caused, not by The Way All Men Are, but because you were not actually into him? And you've got a rude shock coming when you realize that dating women is still dating and comes with a lot of the same issues."
But then I just saw one the other day where a woman was talking about how amazing it was that the girlfriend she just u-hauled with did tons of meal prep for her when she was having an intense work week, and her boyfriend never did this, and gosh dating women is superior and. Look. Two things. 1) That was super nice of her girlfriend and 2) "Date a woman because she'll make you lunch" is not actually the empowering message she seems to think it is.

Farcille is so interesting to me because at first it comes off as a very fluffy ship but the more you reread the series the more you realize they actually have some serious baggage to work through before they could believably be in a romantic relationship… but that baggage has nothing to do with the necromancy or the accidental transformation or the violations of the in-universe Geneva Convention or the (SPOILERS) cannibalism (/SPOILERS) and everything to do with Marcille treating Falin like she’s a Precious Moments figurine

I dont give a shit about the "poor american soldier who could be deployed in the middle east", if they set foot in any country in Asia or Africa they should be turned into paste.
