Hello! I am a person who is, well, bored. I mostly do, fandom things, music things, etc. Fandoms include TMA, Trigun, Good Omens, and Plague Rat. Oh, I also like history stuff. And Gravity Falls. And WTNV. And Hazbin Hotel. Dungeon Meshi. Just. A lot of things. Like bugs. Bugs are cute.
Any/All pronouns, since I finally learned that I'm genderfluid.
Jonny, I stumbled apon your blog on complete accident and it may have been the best accident of my life. I have but one burning question I must know-
What is your favourite animal?
Oof, what a question - there are some real bangers out there in the ol' animal kingdom.
As a kid I was very into tigers. Loved those big stripy fellas - my grandmother used to cut out pictures of tigers from magazines and present them to me in a manila folder when I visited. I never asked her to do this and didn't have any use for the pictures, but she gave me a lot of them.
Penguins are also up there - waddling around having a good time. Feeding time at the penguin habitat is always a highlight of any zoo visit. Sure, maybe they make houses out of their own shit, but who are you to judge?
Seals as well, especially when they're fully in orb mode. Just wobbly ocean friends!
Plus, if I'm down the aquarium anyway, I always make a beeline for the pacu fish. Big, dumb motherfuckers just swimming about like idiots - they bring me a lot of joy. Plus I recently discovered they have human-like teeth, so that's a win for team Your Nightmares.
Also sharks. Every week is Shark Week if you're not a coward.
In the end, though, if I had to pick a current favourite, the one that brings a smile to my face even in its crudest doodle rendition, why, 'tis none other than the humble crab. They come in a plethora of shapes, sizes, colours and flavours, and every one of them is just a silly little guy.

Well out of the blue I just remembered today the time I accidentally joined the cast of a production of The Princess Bride….in the middle of the production.
[ID: a digital comic concerning jonathan sims, head archivist of the magnus institute and his horde of strays. comic begins:
the first panel shows jon, sneaking a look through the back door of the institute. he has short, slicked back hair, glasses and is wearing a suit.
the second panel is a close-up of him nervously looking side to side, checking that he is alone.
the third panel is a close-up of him taking out a can of cat food and the fourth a close-up of a cat taking notice of exactly that.
the fifth panel shows jon sitting on the dirty floor, smiling at a cat thats enjoying the cat food and extending his finger towards it but not quite petting it. he says “good evening professor. very hungry today, are we? apologies for being late, time got away from me.”
the sixth panel shows him scritching the professor, who is enjoying it very much. acusingly he asks “who gave you the permission to be this adorable anyway? hm? answer for your crimes!”
then, a few weeks later: jon sitting close to the back door, cat food in hand, surrounded by cats from all sides. someone off screen asks “jon…?” to which jon, looking frazzled and slightly sweaty responds “…i can explain. end ID.]
Woops I Accidentally Character Studied Michael Shelley...
I actually did this a while ago, but all of you are being subjected to it now as well
HERE WE GO!!
I think Michael was the person who always wanted to be an extrovert and had the social skills to be one (he may have even considered himself an extrovert, who knows)- always bubbly, happy, didn’t mind talking to people- but he lacked a certain sense of self that most extroverts have. We don’t know much about his home life, but I feel like he must have come from some sort of environment where he was always told to do this and this and this by people without them earning his trust in return, so we’re left with this person who doesn’t know the proper way to really connect with people and question them when he feels like he’s been wronged and who is, in short, easy to manipulate. He was so used to relying on people his whole life that he didn’t have to get used to the idea of actually making a whole lot of decisions for himself.
Okay okay and because I sold my soul to gerrymichael, you get the part two to this as well (featuring a bit of Gerry character study as well)
Gerry is a good contrast to this because he’s a person who is similar enough in that he’s trapped in this calling that started with Mary Keay, but is altogether still a more independent person than Michael in most ways because he’s been trying so long to break out of his mom’s sphere of influence.
I think that, were they to meet in canon, they would probably start out quite a bit at odds just because they were so different from eachother and so they might not have actually been initially inclined to be friends, but I think that Michael was probably a little bit lonely. He was purposely kept in the dark about a lot of things at the institute, and I think he may have been a bit drawn to Gerry because he was another loner in the institute staff. Eventually they would hang out and I think once they started to open up to each other, Michael would say things and Gerry would be like “Eyo??? That’s sort of not cool of your coworkers? You can stand up for yourself, you know that, right?” And they would just have a lot of conversations like that which would slowly make Michael think more and more and see exactly how isolated he’s being kept from the archive staff and it leads to a new sense of identity that lets him become more of his own person before he and Gertrude go to Sannikovya SO THAT HE CAN REALISE HOW HE'S BEING USED AND MANAGE TO STOP THE GREAT TWISTING WITH GERTRUDE WITHOUT SACRIFICING HIMSELF AND GOING THROUGH THE DOOR
Naming the female razor brand Venus is so personally offensive to me....you think Venus the goddess of love and sex and beauty was shaving her PUSSY? Go kill yourself
