North Carolina here, vinegar sauce is best sauce.

I’m about to engage in a topic that only people from North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Missouri care about and are equipped to speak on.

Vinegar based bbq sauce is the best.

Ketchup based bbq sauce is very good in certain situations but can also be made not necessary by a good dry rub.

Mustard and Mayonnaise based bbq sauces are trash
